Utd have signed RvP, Kagawa (without doubt our nearest rivals, but aging)
Chelsea have signed Hazard, Oscar, Marin (not that it did em much good in the Community Shield)
Arsenal have signed Cazorla, Giroud, Podolski (two of them are rubbish, and they've lost RvP)

What's the general consensus ? Do we need to / do you reckon we will sign anyone to attempt to retain the PL, or do you reckon that we're done and think that we can do it with the players that we we have ?

we need a CB especially if he fancies playing the 3 5 2 system, if NDJ goes then we need a midfielder too, I'm sure they will be bought soon TBH

We've got to bring somebody in we can't stand still. A CB and a couple of Wingers if AJ goes. A striker if Dzeko goes but not to fused about that tbh. 3 players would make us the complete team especially if we get to decent wingers.

Find a moderately good CB, a world class partner for Yaya, and a cheap winger with speed to run against tired legs.

That would do it for me even with the rumoured departures.

We don't bring in 'somebody' we sign players who definitely improve us.

If such players are not available or don't want to come to Manchester, we sign nobody (apart from a few young players to build for the future) & try to improve the standard of fringe players we already have.

Tevez & Milner already look on another level compared to last season. That's a big improvement for a start.

in psg, it is the first time in 40 years they, the french have a league team who can compete with the cream of europe. in his home country ,he will be as wanted as much as giggs, at a family get together, if he goes at them like he as done with city in the past.
we have not got the headlines with outrageous transfer bid this summer, but brian marwood is working to get some great signings done under the radar.

Agree with the post saying we should just concentrate on our own team and IMO this means us signing a CB and a quality Midfielder who will spray passes from the back (Di Rossi).

We could also do with a fast winger if we need to change our current set up.

looking at the transfers throughout the Prem and IMO United have improved and maybe Chelsea to a degree (but they will miss Drogba) and both Arsenal and Spurs are weaker.

The title is still to be decided between us and the RAGs, it is the Champions League where we have to improve.

Since I first started going in 1964/65 season,I`ve seen it all.Oustings,internal feuds,demonstrations,not a pot to piss in,broken promises,near bankrupcy,countless Managers,takeovers,real shit players being brought in,good players moved on,the list is endless.
All of a sudden some supporters are getting greedy,just because they see no movement,just a slight trickle of activity that concerns them so much they can`t stand the pressure.
WHY ???????????
Wish they`d chill out and let those who know what they`re doing within the Club,carry on without getting loads of abuse on here,when in fact we ALL know fuck all,whats actually going on behind the scenes.

So far Hazard, Thiago Silva, Martinez and RVP have moved clubs, and every one of them would have strengthened our team/squad. Judging from Mancini's demeanour the other day, it seems he would be classed as a flapper on here?

We only need tweeking and I am sure behind the scenes our club is currently negotiating with various potential players. To think that back up signings are not already in motion would be stupid.

We have conducted ourselves very well, not being held to ransom by some players and signing ageing other known stars.

We have the best squad already that just has to be added to slightly in ordewr to push on.
