More unnecessary flapping.Oh to be in a crisis like Portsmouth, what the fuck would some of you do then ?

It's only people's opinions mate, and in my opinion we should be looking to strengthen. So far Hazard, Thiago Silva, Martinez and RVP have moved clubs, and every one of them would have strengthened our team/squad. Judging from Mancini's demeanour the other day, it seems he would be classed as a flapper on here?

And you know for a fact that Bobby was definately interested in each and every one of the Players you mention.Think not apart from Hazard, but we wern`t going to get bummed by a fooking greedy Agent who wanted his arse pocket bulging off crisp £50 note dircetly from us.

How can I know for a fact that Mancini was interested in signing the players I listed? We were however linked with all of them, and in my opinion, they are the type of players we should be looking to sign to take us to the next level, and freshen up the squad a little. There's a wide range of views expressed on here, and I respect the right of those who think we're fine as we are to voice that opinion. I just happen to disagree with it because I believe standing still is rarely a good option if your targets are set as high as ours are. The thought of a long term injury to Kompany or Yaya fills me with dread, and I see the signing of RVP by United as a sign that this title battle is going to be just as fierce as the last one. Just don't see the need to label fellow blues as 'flappers' because they see things differently from the majority.

As I said earlier, take a look at Portsmouth and their poor fans.I know who I`m glad I support and wish the flappers on here could change places for 24 hours with the Pompey gang.

If only we had won the fa cup and league in the last 2 years!!!!!!!!
These are fantastic times to be a blue, having said that the dark days were still enjoyable.l

They did win the fa cup a few years ago.

I'm not worried in the slightest.

United have just improved the only position in the team they didn't actually need to improve.

As for Chelsea, I really don't think they've adequately replaced Drogba & Anelka.

Arsenal have made some interesting buys, but they are a long way behind and still might lose Song... plus they just can not seem to keep their key players fit.

Strangely enough, I'd be very worried if United had bought the players Chelsea have, and Chelsea had bought the players United have.. as they haven't then happy days!

Already been there.. Remember Swales? Most of these fair weathered donkeys would go back to supporting Chelsea.

Since I first started going in 1964/65 season,I`ve seen it all.Oustings, internal feuds, demonstrations, not a pot to piss in,broken promises, near bankrupcy, countless Managers, takeovers, real shit players being brought in,good players moved on,the list is endless.
All of a sudden some supporters are getting greedy, just because they see no movement, just a slight trickle of activity that concerns them so much they can`t stand the pressure.
WHY ???????????
Wish they`d chill out and let those who know what they`re doing within the Club, carry on without getting loads of abuse on here, when in fact we ALL know fuck all, whats actually going on behind the scenes.
Rant over (for now)
This morning I was in the boat that said sit tight and go with our own targets, but thinking about it I think we should re-double our efforts to strengthen. If we retain the title, ferguson will be finished and so will Utd as half their team will be 30 and above and they will have no money to replace them.

And that was their downfall with good old `arry R. being allowed to squander all their FA Cup winnings.

How is Portsmouth's plight remotely relevant to any discussion about City's transfer activity.

Been there, seen it, bought the tee-shirt mate as far as supporting a club through thin and thinner goes ;). Not sure how that's relevant to whether City should sign a couple of top class additions to the squad or not?

You should think about it.Too may people asking stupid questions why we`ve "failed" (in their opinion) to sign players x,y and z,when in fact we have no knowledge at all of Bobby being interested in them.
Some fans are beside themselves with greed that because other than one signing, certain personnel at City aren`t doing their job, therefore we should take a step back and look at other poor souls who have more to worry about than ourselves.
We too could have been Pompey not to long ago.Take stock and think how lucky we`ve been.Gone are the days when we bring in 4,5 and 6 new signings.FFPR have taken care of that and our owner and his management team are obviously working towards the remit.
We have another 15 days to bring in new players.

-- Thu Aug 16, 2012 10:56 am --

Have I said we shouldn`t ? I say stop flapping and leave it to the powers that be.Quite obvious from some posters that they don`t seem to have the faith in our Management Team that I do.

I've fixed that for you mate.

On the topic, I'm not in the least bit worried about what happens before the 1st september. We are no different from any other club, Mancini is having a moan about players he needs the only difference he's got more people listening to him than most and players we maybe after are harder to get. If we needed say a lee bradbury we'd have 50 of them lined up wanting to be here.

Hey yer **** I`m not that fucking old !! ;) Well I am but thats why I tend not to worry unduly. What will be,will be and I honestly think we will still be the strongest team to beat.
I have a hunch that a big name will arrive before the window ends.
Nudge,nudge,wink,wink,say no more !

I`d tend to agree with that, but would love to see some more "deadwood" shifted out.And no I`m not blaming anyone before the shit hits the fan ! lol

Agreed. Deadwood and contract renewals were priority this summer for me. Savic hasnt worked. Nothing against him, but whoever scouted him should be shot. Does take time to settle (culturally also) but he's shown nothing for us to believe he has real potential. And is mentally weak. Need defensive cover.

If we dont ship out RSC and Ade, I see nothing other than these silly long season loans again.
