Put your money into Rochdale, much nicer team. I was welcomed over the international break one time wearing my Manchester City shirt.

Fast forward to when Frank Clarke was in charge of us and we're on our arses. City were away at Crewe who were also struggling. Myself, my two brothers and a mate went to watch Stockport at home (sure it was New Years day) and at half time the PA guy at County was fucking creaming himself when announcing the half time scores "And in the relegation battle at Gresty Road, it's Crewe one Man City nil" The crowd of around six thousand cheered.

When we played at Blackpool in the league, a mid-day kick off, the result was announced later that day at County as "Blackpool 0 Donkeys 0"
Again to huge laughs and cheers. They can fuck off.

I wouldn't want to see any club go to the wall, but I understand the feelings of many of the posters. I went there for a pre season friendly years ago, with my mum (how cool am I ?) The away end was packed, so went in the home stand down the side (think it was standing at the time). Anyway the abuse I got for having a City top on was well over the top for a friendly, but at half time they had people walking round the edge of the pitch with a blanket for people to through money into to help the club out financially. As we where stood at the bottom of the stand near the City fans, some of the good people of stockport thought it would be fun to sling coins at us instead of into the blanket. I was probably about 16 stone at the time a wouldn't have minded asking them nicely to stop, but to sling coins at my mum, who was probably in her early 50's at the time was bang out of order. For some reason i've not been mutch of a fan since, and their current problems are not keeping me awake at nights.

We need our local clubs, I dont particularly like bury but I'll take me dad to watch them occasionally. These clubs are what give a lot of kids the chance to play football and may one day give one of your kids a chance.

I wouldnt want to see any local team go bust and I'll be honest wouldnt even like to see the rags go bust, would be amusing initially but rather boring afterwards.

if we wanted every club to go bust that laughed at us when we were in freefall well 91 clubs it would be, we were the laughing stock
dont forget bury had a good laugh at us too, i dont want to see any club go bust, and not all there fans hate us,

rodchdale's manager is a huge rag...even appearing on radio boasting about manyoo

yes he is BUT the dale fans i know despise the rags and appreciate city for us supporting them with friendlies

My minds made up.....

they can get lost.....

I worked at County for 3 years with John Rutter and the great John Higgins !!! in the commercial Dept.. and got tickets for all City away games for nowt all be it in the main stands.... and even after i left John used to get me tickets for The EUros and the World Cups at face value... so for this i am grateful.

However i used too sponsor 2 games a year at county at £4000 a pop and 95 % of our guests were City or United fans...

I just cant get over how badly i was treated by County fans over that period of our demise.....and for this they will not be getting my money.... I dont hope they go bust and i hope they survive...... but it will be without my money !!!!
