Stoke away?

There must be a fair few hundred of them benefitting from that then and even if they don't go, I'm sure they will be using their entitlement for someone they know.

Money talks now. You have the ones who go every week, fair enough, well earned. The points whores who abuse the fact they used to go every week and the corporates who have started to want to go every week since we became good.
Completely agree, and you can add in the City in the City gig where you can pick up an Arsenal ticket despite having never been to a City game if your willing to pay £150.

Have they kept this on the sly? I haven't see this advertised on the official site. I remember the Chelsea one and the shitstorm that created and a few saying get used to it because it will happen again....

Yes, there isnt an artice on the official site but its definitely happening. Its in a wine bar in Islington with Brian Marwood as a speaker. We even have an official sponsor for 'City in the City' events - Henleys Investments

Stoke always sells out quickly (ignoring midweek games which sell out later regardless of opposition) It's the Blackburn/Wigan away game nowadays. The one that everybody does and all the 1 that all the one game a season guys do.

Not really, when you think about it. I wouldn't think the venue for the meal is that big, and certainly won't be large enough to have that much affect on ticket availabilty for the ordinary fan. It's not as if there will be a thousand bankers there jumping on the coaches taking them to the game.

Tickets for away games are much harder to obtain these days. You just have to read the posts from people who have been to nearly every away game over the last few seasons and now can't get tickets to realise something is seriously amiss.

This will probably be the first season in decades I won't go to an away fixture, and I'm more than a bit miffed about it.

Could be 200 or so as there were for the Chelsea game. When you add that to the corporate fans at city I bet at least 1000 are going to this group.

Wonder how many people do Platinum now? Unless you are close to the top of the pile, you might as well save your £50 and treat yourself to a ticket off a tout once a season for a game you wouldn't get to see.

The expansion added a couple of hundred more corporate seats, a couple of hundred more people who don't need points to get tickets. Less and less are going on sale to ordinary fans hence why they sell out quicker and quicker

One of the knock on effects is no longer being able to book travel well in advance. Arsenal away on the Monday night of Christmas week and £64, it's a no brainer on 12.5k points, get in early and get the travel and accommodation booked for a reasonable amount. Oh well, you live and learn.

Match ticket- £32 (+VAT)

Two things strike me about that:-

1. The match ticket price of £32 actually includes VAT so either that's a typo or City are on a nice little earner of £6.40 per customer. ;-)
2. Why are they only being charged £32 and not £64 as the away discount only applies to S/card holders and these events are presumably open to non s/card holders?

It's a load of shite, did the same last year with Chelsea with a river trip.
On one hand they reduce the price which is great as a lot of people would could not afford thought I'll have some of this then they
hive off tickets for corporate do's.
I am away and can't make it but how about Blue's who go turning up at this wine bar in Islington.
Don't get me wrong, not to abuse fellow Blues but to let the officials know we're not happy about this.
