My brother was a ballboy some years ago at Maine Road and as a massive City fan would regularly try and stall the game if City were winning..........I remember once when City played Villa in the FA Cup, Fat Cokehead Bosnich in net, we were 1 -0 up with a couple of minutes left on the clock and the ball went out of play. My brother took his time to retreive it (purposely, obviously) for which he received a torrent of abuse from Bosnich - within earshot of the City fans, who were extremely quick to defend him (as you can imagine)

I remeber that, it was in the left hand corner of the Main Stand but there is a difference between taking your time to get a ball and pretending to throw it three times.

it was a good bit of banter i was sat right behind the ball boy and abused him coz it looked like his mum had cut his hair. hes gunna get it next week asweel. cant beat abit of banter at games. hopefully they will have cheese pies and beer this time lol.

if hes old enough to give it out then he should be old enough to take it

Yep....via Manchester, Rochdale, Birmingham, Wolverhampton !! And now here in Buford, GA about an hour North of Atlanta.

My flatmate once spent two nights in Buford County Jail for supposedly vandalizing a public bathroom. He's still not allowed back in the States as a result. Amusingly, he got turned back at LAX when we were all off to Vegas for a stag do a few years ago. Thems the breaks!!

Wow, tough place that DB, i pass it a lot as its a short cut home when i am in the Athens area, some mean characters in there pal and i hope your mate survived the ordeal intact....if ya know what i mean! And as for getting back into the States anytime soon, he's now blacklisted being a convicted felon (if he wasnt convicted, they have no right according to the constitution to disallow him entry btw!) tough break for messing up a loo :-) !!!

Bollocks mate - a 13 year old knows what they are doing. That's why they can still go to young offenders at that age. 3rd year in high school that mate.

I think the incident you're referring to was in the 2nd half in front of us.
The ball boy went to throw tha ball back to Sorenson, but Ade was standing there.
the kid didn't know what to do & shaped to throw it back a couple of times, but was obviously confused & probably unsure if he should throw it to a City player.
Didn't see any malice in it to be fair.
