Not being mischievous at all mate. I just don’t subscribe to the oft stated fallacy that all opinions are as valid as each other. This forum spends a lot of time slating the opinions of Rio, Savage, Gerrard et al for talking bollocks about and rightly so because they are usually basing their musings on lazy cliches about us and have the tactical nous of a lemon drizzle cake.

If you said everyone’s entitled to an opinion then I’d agree, but it doesn’t mean that opinions are sacrosanct and can’t be dismissed or put up for ridicule.

Do you believe it was five people’s (City fans) honest held view that City would lose at home to Palace?

Nobody's opinion can be right or wrong as it it is simply an opinion - Maybe it's semantics, but those 5 have every right to have and voice their opinion based on what they believe. The fact you, I and many others disagree, does not negate their opinion or belief.

Lets leave it at everyone is entitled to an opinion

People are of course entitled to opinions there is literally no way of denying people thought.
However people are also entitled to disagree with them and occasionally ridicule is appropriate.
If you hold that two plus two equals five , I cannot deny you that opinion even though it contravenes logic. Most opinions are more subjective, you are entitled to think that Messi is not a very skillful footballer there is a high degree of subjectivity in assessing skill, however expressing that opinion would quite rightly expose you to ridicule.

If I have an opinion that the Earth revolves around the sun and your opinion states the opposite then your opinion is wrong. There’s nothing more to it.

If I have the opinion that all black people are lazy idiots then that opinion is wrong, plain and simple.

Of course opinions can be wrong. Honest held or otherwise. Anything else is crazy talk in my honest opinion (see what I’ve done there, I’ve made it so I’m either right at best or not wrong at worst as it’s my opinion).

Anyway, 3-0 City. Nice early goal would be good but can see a stop start first half and three second half goals to ease the nerves.

Starting XI
Ederson
Walker Stones Otamendi Danilo
Gundogan KDB Silva
Sané Bernardo Sterling

Subs
Bravo
Mangala
Kompany
Yaya Touré
Fernandinho
Gabriel Jesus
Aguero/Diaz

Aguero maybe not ready yet, Jesus jet-lagged. So... we need a big man up top for Stoke, how about Uncle Yaya?

Stoke have scored 4 goals playing away at City in the last 20 years.
So far this season they have managed 2 away from home.
I shall plump up my cushions and predict another goal glut for City, most of them coming in the 2nd half.
City: 4/5/6
Stoke: zero

No way Aguero will be ready, only jogging round gently. I badly bruised ribs in a karting accident about 13 years ago, and I was in agony for weeks, god knows how a fracture/break feels like.

Not sure why some people are seeing their arse over 5 or 6 people predicting a defeat.

They currently account for 1.6% of the votes.

In the Sheikh Mansour era we've played 9 home Premier League games against Stoke, winning 7, drawing 1 and losing 1.

So post-takeover we have lost this fixture 11% of the time, yet only 1.6% think we'll lose this time. Factoring in the team being much better now than in 2008, I'd say that's a fair percentage, though perhaps still on the low side... The bookies think we have a 6% probability of losing the game (generally, Stoke are at 16/1 to win).

The bookies also rate us as having anywhere between an 86% and 89% chance of winning (odds are generally between 1/6 and 1/8), yet 95% of the forum has gone for a win (obviously higher since we have a City bias).

So what's the big deal?
