stoke in europa league

Cheers boys - it will be an experience!

Congrats on last night, was cheering you on :-)
And hoping the ref might dish a few reds out, but that was churlish!

Looking forward to Saturday now, even if we only have half a side left lol

Good days for both of us - a far cry from 1999! If somebody had told you then you would be in the Champions League, we would be in the (then) UEFA Cup, and we would both be contesting the FA Cup final in (pinch yourself) 77 hours time I don't reckon you would have dabbled too much money.....

i think Stoke will at least give it a go. The likes of Villa, Bolton, spuds who have limped out fielding weaken sides in recent years have disgraced English football in Europe far more than Stoke's long throw ins will ever do.

In fairness, most Stoke fans could get that experience by buying a daysaver ticket to Congleton.

Harsh.

Living in the last bastions of North Staffordshire (Biddulph, on the border with Congleton) we try to defend our county from the infidels from Cheshire, we even used to have a castle on the county line.

However if you suggest to anybody to travel to Macclesfield, you may get a sharp intake of breath....

You may want to have a look at Stokes stats with regard to fouls conceded, yellow and red cards. These don't support the rough house tag. Arsenal with twice the possession have given away more fouls and had more booked and sent off.

Mind you I can't wait too see Rorys first throw away at fc nomark in Norway ;)

Only joking mate - and you are missing nothing whatsoever by giving Macc a well-deserved bodyswerve,as it only really established itself as a community when Parkside Mental Hospital had a mass breakout one night, and it was impossible to round up the inmates as they were indistinguishable from local residents.
Even Buxton folk consider them weird, and thats coming from people who practise incest and sacrifice their first-born child to the Sun Gods to ensure a benevolent harvest.
