Stoke u21 vs Man City u21

Worth noting that this Stoke starting 11 has the best part of 500 appearances in first team football between them

I know he scored that great goal against Red Star, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen Hamilton play well for the EDS. Josh Adam always looks ineffectual when I’ve seen him too

The red card was a second yellow, looked a yellow (I missed the first), the penalty looked a penalty.
I saw probably 75% of the second half. That was enough. There was one foul in particular on Alfa-Ruprecht that any description wouldn't do it justice. It seems as though the club as a whole is targeted at every level, men and women. However, at this level it achieves nothing to screw young kids over. We picked up late bookings, and the red was for two yellows, entirely due to frustration. The only thing it prepares our kids for is showing them what to expect when (if) they progress to the first team.

Sadly all true.

Funnily enough I had much the same feeling about Oscar Bobb, but he looks fine in the first team to me.

Bobb was brilliant last season for the EDS! He was arguably our best player alongside Borges and got 17 assists in 25 games (without us really having a recognised striker).

It's my opinion, I always thought it was more him than team, but he's been brilliant in the first team so far (early days), and ultimately that's really what I care about.

In the games I watched Borges was the best, though I don't think he fitted our first team.

It’s possible that Bobb has matured and learned that it’s not just about him.

We’ll find out soon enough either way.

Playing EDS games is the shop window for 95% of our academy. Maybe he will become more team centric now he has a route to the first team.

All an opinion, of course.

I thought that. Like a good few know they have gone as far as their ability can take them at City.

Josh Adam was supposed to be leaving City last January (he was linked with a move to France iirc) yet a year later is still here. He needs either a loan or to be sold, and I think Hamilton possibly needs a loan too (although maybe he’d prefer to stick around and train with the first team)

No problem with any of it either.

They moved Bobb infield last season and he looked a different player than when they played him as a wide man in the season before. Perhaps your memory is tainted by that season? I though he was fantastic last season for the youth.
