We don't need width! We've had a few crosses into the box, and 3/4 corners and every one of them has been dealt with with ease.

If we try and give ourselves more width we're just playing directly into their hands. We need to be direct, we need to play more balls in amongst them, we can play through them, and that's what we need to do. We just need somebody who's willing to take a bit of a risk and play the trickier balls. Tevez would help, in my opinion. Dzeko needs to come off.

"useless kraut" ... you ignorant ****!!

Dzeko has been our only aerial threat in the first half.

Take him out - and forget crossing (i.e. get even more one-dimensional...if that's even possible).

I know you would bum Dzeko if you ever met him but you have to admit that performance was a complete embarrasment

He should have burried that header - YES.

Other than that he was just...average.

Saying it's "horrible" is going over the top.

don't know why dzeko is getting all the stick he hasn't really been worse than anyone besides nasri yaya or zab

Don't nderstsnd singling out Dzeko, he missed a header but was applying pressure, hardly dire.

I'd probably try Pizarro for Barry, just need to up the ball movement tempo to tire them out

It's the way of this thread.

If we are NOT WINNING by half-time, its:

Slag Dzeko off_HERE.

I don't get drawn on the dzeko, balotelli, ndj hating but I will say this, what service has he had apart from the 1 chance.

Honestly think this is a tougher away day for us than Arsenal but Mancini has to figure out how to beat these teams, every season the same thing is happening.

As somebody with incredible intelligence and perception said on the pre-match thread...

"With Yaya having to perform defensive duties alongside Bazza, expect a dour first half from City. De Jong will then replace Silva after 60 minutes, freeing Yaya up to move forward and the winning goal will come, probably in the last 10 minutes. You read it here first."
This has been the formula for weeks now. Start Yaya as one of the 2 CMs then later bring in another CM and move Yaya up. Too bad we don't have a CM with vision on the bench :(
