Stoke v West Ham

Did anyone else think to themselves when the West Ham defender kicked the ball out for the throw that he should have let it go for a corner? I did. Stokes is much less dangerous from a corner plus keepers seem to panic at Stoke throws.

Wasn't there an instance last season when the oppositon 'keeper was in danger of having his clearance upfield blocked down by one of the Stoke forwards, so he deliberately chose to kick the ball out for a corner rather than a throw-in?

I believe it happened several times.

When Stoke scored against us earlier this season it was because our defender did what would be the correct thing against any other team in the waning moments with a lead, i.e. clear the ball long. Against Stoke, you have to make them play the game. They're useless then.

As an example, Stoke just took a corner and looked completely useless plus Green did what he should have done on the throw and came out for the ball. Why won't keepers treat Stoke throws like corners? Astonishing.

Pulis is furious. Aw, precious.

And that thug Huth who along with Shawcross should be banned from football attempts to break a leg.
