Stoke Vs City Post match Discussion Thread

Cant believe the hate for maicon:s

And people saying about his age? He fucking dusted a fresh etherington and just took ball off him when he had about 15 yards on him.

Javi looked fucking superb and oh how i wish that header would have sneaked in!!!!

Stoke are just Stoke they do what they have to which is fair enough but they are a bunch of inbred cnuts but hey ho.

Good point all in all good have so easily been 3 but bring on the next game.
Maicon did pretty well IMO considering a new leaguen a hostile crowd and a pitch resembling The Pampas.

We'll get days like that where the breaks don't go for you. Those days stay in the memory longer than the days when it goes your way.

Absolutely spot on.

Unless there is a major change in this guy then he will not come anywhere close to fulfilling his potential.

He doesn't look to link up he looks to get in possession and gain a free-kick. Gave the ball away on several occassions. One of our worst players today.

As is often the case away from home. I am not sure why Mancini keeps picking him in away games and benching him at home. Surely it should be the other way round? He did nothing today and nothing at Liverpool. Its time for him to step up this season because I for one am sick of waiting for it to happen consistently.

My big worry is that neither he nor Dzeko look anywhere near good enough to step in to Tevez or Augero's shoes. If either of our top 2 get injured then we're going to struggle, particularly away from home.

Or Dzeko might get a decent run of games and find his form of last season.

Mancini was wrong in handing debuts to 3 players today.

I know Garcia scored, but we should have had a more experienced Premiership team out today. Threw them in right at the deep end.
Have to agree,im sure it was an eye opener for them, mancini always seems to do this with new players.....

We have to be more decisive instead of just watching the ball.

We really weren't in it in the second half until the last 15 minutes. We could & should have won; we're so much better than them. If either of those two late chances had gone in they couldn't have complained.

Balotelli is a waste of space in my view. Goes down too easily and never remotely threatened their goal. Dzeko did more in 10 minutes than Mario did all game.

Unfortunately we often end up saying the exact opposite when Dzeko starts and Mario comes on as a substitute.
Truth is that both are impact players and neither is good enough to play a full game.

lol

Dzeko should have come on a lot fucking earlier than he did. The guy is on a hot streak and gets dropped to the bench and given a couple minutes at the end. No wonder he isn't happy.

I have no idea how Dzeko stays motivated with the way Roberto is 'rotating' him - in favor of Balotelli who (again I must say) hasnt done shit.

If I didnt know better I would think he's about to 'pull off a Tevez'....:-) but he won't.

Too nice of a lad - sometimes for his own good.

I can only presume that mancini will start him against RM as he only played a blinder 3/4 days ago

With Sergio coming back (I think) - I doubt that.

That's why Mario playing ahead of Edin today boggles my mind.

IF Sergio cant go Tuesday - then I might understand the decisions made today.

Mancini said Aguero wouldn't play against Real Madrid if he took no part today. Realistically he might be on the bench. It'll be Tevez and Dzeko or Mario against Real Madrid and logic points towards Dzeko being up front due to Mancini's rotation policy.
