What people are failing to understand is this - we are totally reliant on Chelsea dropping lots of points. Their winner today was devastating, because even if we win every game they still have to lose 3 games. Where are they going to drop points? I just can't see it.

Assuming we only drop 5 more til the end of the season, that means they will have to drop 12 points. There is fucking no chance of that happening as they are not gung-ho like Liverpool were last season. They are cautious and will grind out points.

I HATE having to rely on wankers like Everton to pull out a result and then they fuck it up in the last minute. At least when it's City you know we've got the quality to win.

Our fault

I know United and the scourers dropped points when we won it, but i just can't see this mourinho chelsea team doing it again, having already dropped 8 points beforehand. We only have ourselves to blame.

Loaing against Stoke, dropping points against Arsenal, Hull and Burnely at home is not good enough, especially for a team that has world class players all over the pitch. So disappointing...and dont even get me started on the cups losses at home.

Time and place mate, we've just won 4-1 and away at Stoke.

For me that is the reason we won't win it this year but at least we have a bit of hope still after tonight.

Tonight's win was absolutely vital for us though, make no mistake about that. Had we lost tonight we would have been two points in front of the rags with a load of other sides breathing down our necks. We would have been entering our sixth game against Newcastle without a win with Liverpool to follow. I was looking at a team on Saturday who looked nervous, lacking in ideas and frankly who maybe did not have the hunger that I would expect. Tonight has at least restored our rightful position with a nice gap in second and had reassured me that this group of players has got hunger. the CL money next season is huge and we must ensure we are top 3. That is target number one. If in 5/6 weeks we are still in with a sniff then who knows. If we can beat Newcastle with the same flair then we go into the. Barca game with some hope. Before tonight we had none for me.

We are not without problems. Hart almost gifted them two goals, Kompany is nowhere near his best, Fernandinho is sloppy in his passing at times and Zabaleta is looking like a player who may be coming to the end of his stint as nailed on right back. He has been below par all season and needs dropping now for a few games. Pellegrini has some big decisions to make.

You forgot Dzeko couldn't score in a 100 foot goal with Warwick Davies as keeper.

Watched the Chelsea v Everton..game on BT Sports looked for all the world to be heading for a draw..them a wonder strike from Willian from 25 yards..89th minute..so City finally nail the hoodoo..but Chelsea nick the win..drama..twists and turns..bout time City won, we've been bloody rubbish for weeks..title race back on.. gap still 7 pts..!

The fact is that Chelsea played another game without their two best players this season - Costa and Fabgregas. Them grinding the win like this does not install much confidence.

Only hope is that they were shit around Champions League games in recent seasons. If they show that kind of weakness again than we have a chance. Otherwise, 7 points is lot for a Mourinho's team, he knows how to play for result. Hopefully they'll repeat it this year as he doesn't change his team a lot.

They are due a few injuries as well. Not meaning to wish any player unwell like, but they are due a few.

They lose Hazard and they are a different side.. Plus, teams in a relegation scrap are no pushover

Chelsea can lose one and draw 2 - not impossible . Then we'd be level assuming we win our games . It's still on !
