Well I hope we smash em tomorrow, for two reasons.

1. To stop my Stokie season ticket holding mates, from bombarding me with abuse (goading has taken place over the last week!).

2. To shut Danny Higginbotham up!. I've just read his pre match verdict in the sentivale and he reckons we have had a mediocre start, got a soft under belly without Komps, Jones will tear us a new one and the game v us is no longer regarded as a bonus game.

Please City turn up put on a show and give the Potters a good hiding, or I'm going into hiding!.

Seems the best way to go for me.
Not starting Negredo would be a ridiculous decision to me, the guy can't stop scoring and we need strength up top.
Rodwell hasn't played a minute so far this season, but he's a great player and he's the type of player you want on a cold, wet night in Stoke (sorry).
And seeing Yaya pushed forward is always fun.

David Silva and Gael Clichy have been ruled out of the Stoke City game as Manchester City's injury problems worsen.

Manchester City will be without five key players for their Premier League visit to Stoke.

Skipper Vincent Kompany, new signing Martin Demichelis and Micah Richards are not yet fit enough to be in contention for the game, while David Silva and Gael Clichy have also been ruled out.

Silva picked up a training injury with the Spain squad and Clichy is unavailable despite playing for France in midweek.

The left-back's injury presents an opportunity for Aleks Kolarov to stake his claim for a first-team place, while Manuel Pellegrini will be left hoping Joleon Lescott, Matija Nastasic, and Pablo Zabaleta make it through the game unscathed against a bruising Stoke side, with scarce cover on the bench for them.

The Chilean manager added that Kompany should be fit for the Manchester derby on Sunday September 22 but was less confident on Silva, saying: "We will see next week what happens with him but we hope to try for the derby. If he is 100% fit he can be back in."

Every time Kolarov starts we are just horrendous.
Everton away springs to mind last season. I know we dont have any other options for left back but surely that is an area of priority in Jan along with Centre half.
I'm going for a nervy 1-0 win with Negredo slotting it.

Not as worried as many defensively. Lescott and Nastasic can deal with the physical threat, as will Kolorov. With no Silva Kolorov will provide good set pieces hopefully. Hope we play the following team;
