Looks like Glen Whelan is out as he's out of the Irish squad with a hamstring strain.

I worry about the height in our side at stoke set pieces will be hard to defend especially as we learning a new system

I don't see Navas being dropped for this as one of the reasons we struggled last season and at times in the title winning season in away games was because we had no width to stretch our game, plus I think Pellegrini has him as one of the main stays in the first XI.

Negredo to partner Aguero up top as well for me with Jovetic or Nasri coming in for a possibly injured Silva.

-------------------Negredo----------------
Nasri/Jovetic--Sergio-----------Navas
----------Yaya--Fernandinho---------
Clichy----Nastasic--Micah----Zabba
----------------------Hart------------------

If it was up to me I would play three in midfield, however, Pellegrini comes across as a manager who favoures his attack as his best form of defence so I don't see it happening.

It will be an interesting starting lineup on Saturday as no doubt the club will have the Viktoria Plzen game on their minds, the club has to do well in the CL this season or we are going to look embarrassing.

424? I hope not. That gives teams like Stoke a chance when they should be on the margin of the game

But going off what I have seen to date, it's quite likely.

Can't see Jovetic starting as he hasn't played at all for club or country yet. Sub for City at home to Hull and unused sub for Montenegro

Had a dream last night that Stoke beat us 5-1 ( two late tap ins to really flatter them).

Which should be be a good sign, as my dreams never come true.

(I also dreamt that Nicole Kidman performed a sex act on me, fuck you alarm clock. Just thought i'd throw that out there).
