Stones injured now.

Stones out for six weeks and another month to get back up to speed , we might see him back in contention before Xmas , we will probably now play Dinho at centre back or play three at the back with Walker , Dinho and Otto. With Stones getting injured we also lose more height to our back four which leaves us vulnerable at set pieces , normally i would suggest giving Garcia a chance he looks competent on the ball and reads a game well but he is small for a centre back and lacks experience. Five games into the season and Sane , Laporte and Stones all out for quite a while , in todays market thats £250m worth of players , but we've got Guardiola , he will be burning the midnight oil to sort this out.

There is obviously some reason that nobody activated that clause. Either his wage demands were absolutely mad or he was being picky with what club he wanted to go to. We were in a tricky situation with no non-homegrown spots available and Nico wanting to leave if we brought anyone else in... It wasn't as straightforward as just not buying anyone cos we couldn't be arsed.

In the press conference when they asked how long it would be he shrugged and said "A month... four, five weeks, six weeks..." so I don't think it'll be that straightforward

We are fighting for all the trophies available given its Pep. Our nearest rival for the PL is a formidable Liverpool team that we had to play our of our skin to beat them by one point to the title. The CL has even less margin of error.

Playing youth is a big gamble. It's easy to understand. And he did play foden towards the end last season in the PL.
 
FFS, I read this and thought someone had just rehashed news about his previous injury

We couldn't be putting things more on a platter for the Dippers if we tried
