Sorry but i would tell bridge to go train with the kids and let everyone no 90k a week is more important than playing the game. Let him walk for free like bellamy! I dont blame him i blame hughes but its embarrassing him still on our books. Ade will can sell no problem and also santa cruz just let him go for nothing. Dead wood what we loan out doesn't help at all. Bridge has got his way playing for other clubs well we pay him i would of let him rot

Sort it out city

In his last year, along with RSC, Ade has two years left. The positive side of a loan is we get to save some of his wages, as the Tesco advert goes every little helps.

im wondering if still having some of these players on our books as assets, will give us some sort of advantage with financial fair play when we come to sell them.

We have a similar issue, overpaying average players and no buying club can match that - who wants to pay Denilson, Squillaci 50k a week.

Wayne Brige is living the life, big wages for doing damn all and go home to your one from the Saturdays.

I know he has a contract and many say fair play to him, he is well within his rights to hold us to it. And that is true.
But what about his competitive instincts as a professional athlete?
You would think as he approaches the end of his career, he would accept that he has already made his money and is set up for life, and so actually goes somewhere to play regular football for less wages.
This man, already a multi-millionaire for doing very little, would rather play in the Championship for a subsidised full wage than take less money and test himself at the highest possible level he can in what remains of his days as a professional.
For me he is a sad case. He has no dignity, shame, self-respect or professional pride.

Bridge would be happy to rot. He has zero desire to play the game. That's what happens when you give a distinctly average player a long term contract on quadruple/triple the wages of what he is worth

Give him a choice walk for free and find a new club or get your 90k a week and train with the kids. He will pick 90k a week

Problem is no-one will pay the price we have gave, the players in question won't take a wage cut.

No club will pay more then 500k for bridge, 9M for Adebayor, 2M for Santa Cruz. In a way its good, its telling other clubs even if a player isn't in our plans and not needed we still won't let them leave for less value then what we think they're worth and that we won't give into demands.

A loan is the best option so far as it prevents these players from causing any disruptions in the dressing room.
