He’s right about the cards, imagine a pile of 20k cards stacked up and there is no technical reason why the card can’t last. It’s time you had a QR Code on a City app that could be read at the turnstile, so no plastic card just like Costa. If all PL clubs had the same system then the QR could be enabled for away games this solving the away ticket problem Anyonw without a smart phone could remain in the old system of cards and tickets

It doesn't sound like it has to me, picked mine up today from the post office, and there was no plastic, apart from the important bit. Bag for a laptop, scarf, book, steel badge, leaflet advertising the "tour" and a few other bits, so nothing really for landfill at all.At least yours has arrived

Well said OP. Nothing grumpy about caring for the world in which we live and wanting to do something about it.

Plastic bag wrapping the whole lot, plastic bag around the (acrylic) scarf, plastic bag around badge, laptop sleeve from synthetic materials - no recycling there, unnecessary replacement season card, advertising flyer that could be via email.
The book did not need to be shipped - easier to have a voucher to redeem at the shop for those who actually want it, rather than multiple copies in many houses.
Stop shipping the crap - we don't need it; those that want it can collect it from the club shop. After all, you should be at the ground at least 18 times this year........
