Stop with those negative waves

Having avoided footy since the final whistle last night I summoned up the courage to check the BBC pages.

To the PL table and low and behold, despite being shite in our last 2 aways and losing to teams you would expect to beat! We are 4 points clear of the London challenge!

As bad as we may feel they must be absolutely gutted to not take advantage of our dip.

Obviously the Dips are top and playing well or should I say getting results, but I can't see them sustaining it.

2 weeks off to calm the nerves and off we go again.
Arteta has the look of a worried man, the pressure is building on him.

He should have led the tarquins to the title last season, when they played us at the Etihad we were there for the taking but he and his team bottled it, that was the beginning of the end of Arteta and Arsenal.

Always my tactic for at least 24 hours when we loose . Never dwell on it . No watching replays, reading reports or swimming around in the toxic wasteland of social media . Don't need to feel any more negative emotions after the final whistle. Do something nice and relax . And as you say , quick look , we are second with five of seven of our defence injured ( Ake, Akanji, Dias , Stones , Rodri) a fragile but world class playmaker who always takes a few games to get into form ( KDb) an improvised forward line . The view from up here is lovely .

A bit like my car at the moment , no battery, major parts missing, but still there, and hopefully when it goes...

Liverpool are winning you say? I never would have guessed, from the bunch of people on my social media who've taken a sudden interest in posting football-related stuff again after nothing for 3 years.

Wonderful contribution, dear 'CoL', brilliant, I salute you!

Perhaps you or one of our equally able young Blues could explore this 'Interweb Thingy' to find the one and only Donald Sutherland's tank commander, Oddball, from the classic war comedy 'Kelly's Heroes' when he opined 'Always with the negative waves, Moriarity, always with the negative waves..'

One of the greatest comedy performances in cinematic history and completely germane to 'ysma's' original point!

As is, also, Oddball's very first line in the film to Clint Eastwood and gang as they discuss the heist of Nazi treasure.. 'You could probably use some armour..?' (ie, 'would my tank be of any help in this enterprise?')

I think us Blues and Pep/the squad are going to need 'some armour' over the next few weeks when dealing with the current media onslaught until we get through this awful run we're on!

I avoid football for a few days after a City defeat.I have done since 1978.I was in a bad mood for 30 odd years every weekend. After the past 12 years I have become an arrogant self entitled ****.
As Erling reminds me..Stay humble eh!!
