What happened to it only floods when we’ve had a couple of weeks of non stop rain?
Only started yesterday and the levels are up already?

It was Boxing Day 2015 IIRC. There, Ramsbottom, Irwell Vale and Rossendale got it really bad. We were in a taxi going to the airport and the all roads out of the area were flooded so we had to go via the bypass and the water was up to the doors only just made it out.

It was, thought we weren't going to make the plane to Gran Canaria.

Looking at some of the videos and photos on the local Facebook groups it looks as bad if not worse today.
