Its a westerly mate. It won't be blowing off the sea - you should be okWe are in Anstruther on the Fife coast for a week, got here Saturday and the weather has been brilliant but the storm is going to hit mid morning on Monday, and the locals are worried so they must think it's going to be bad, our Airbnb has got brilliant views of the sea and the coast, so fingers crossed it's not going to be as bad as they reckon
I can remember when storms just happened without warning and we just got on with it. They didn’t have names in those days either. We're all going to die, simple as, no fucking about, meet thy maker. I blame Facebook.
You should have thought about that before you breached their advertising standards.I'm banned from Facebook for life apparently? Because I breached their advertising standards, even though i haven't ever Advertised or sold anything on there ever
You were a bit unlucky although August isn't a particularly dry month Edinburgh isn't the wettest place by any means and is certainly drier than Manchester. It's a beautiful drive
Unless there's a storm warning. I went to Edinburgh every August for years for the entire month and swear it pissed down every year. Rarely remember sunshine
That's no ucking use.It is but the F on my keyboard doesn't work
Happy memories of Fife. I spent a year at Dundee University which was fantastic, but I'm not sure my liver would've lasted another year. One of the reasons was that we'd organise 'Drink a pub dry' nights, where we'd descend mob-handed in 3 coaches on a small and unsuspecting pub in Fife on a quiet weekday night and do our best to drink it dry.We are in Anstruther on the Fife coast for a week, got here Saturday and the weather has been brilliant but the storm is going to hit mid morning on Monday, and the locals are worried so they must think it's going to be bad, our Airbnb has got brilliant views of the sea and the coast, so fingers crossed it's not going to be as bad as they reckon
We had it overnight here on the west of Ireland. Wind and rain from around 10 or 11 last night, til around 6 this morning, when the rain stopped. Still fairly blowy, but I've seen far worse. Didn't even lose the power, which does normally go when we have storms. We are in Anstruther on the Fife coast for a week, got here Saturday and the weather has been brilliant but the storm is going to hit mid morning on Monday, and the locals are worried so they must think it's going to be bad, our Airbnb has got brilliant views of the sea and the coast, so fingers crossed it's not going to be as bad as they reckon
I think it was ‘East Fife four, Forfar five’ in a penalty shootout.Never forget the football result
Forfar four, East Fife five
No sunshine up there then? We’re starting to get a bit of a battering on the East Lothian riviera - but nothing too spectacular just yet.
Trains are likely to get pulled pretty soon though and glad I’m not sat on the top deck of the 26 bus just now.
Though I’m continually grateful not to be on the 26.
That was because we had butter on bread, rather than olive oil.I can remember when storms just happened without warning and we just got on with it. They didn’t have names in those days either.
