Strange signings/Players still contracted to City but on perma loans.

You should try to get in touch with Frau Pep.

*sits back and waits*
Lol nah the man is a genius. We play the tactics he created. Tho if you have his email I could forward him a 433 formation that would work well. He only needs to buy Alfie’s son and Mbappe for it too work :)

You can’t seriously call Pep a fraud unless you are from the Mersey?

So having received FM21 for Xmas and looking through City's squad there were a couple of names standing out.

Mix Diskerud 30yo is still at the club, now he wasn't doing that well for NYC and we signed him on a 4 and a half year contract and loaned him out to poor standard leagues ever since.

Also, Thomas Agyepong 24yo came from the right to dream academy and is still here, well not here lol but another on permanent loan.

Erik Palmer-Brown 23yo been on loan forever but has been capped by the US recently.

and finally 2 Japanese players Meshino Ryotaro 22yo and Itakuru Ko 23yo.

Oh and let's not forget Marlos Moreno who is on his 5th loan club at progressively lower levels and the scorer of 5 goals, maybe not the striker for us after all.

There does seem to be a lot of fillers at the club with zero hope of making it or landing us a big fee and you have to wonder what the scouts have seen in these players, to begin with tbh.

I remember listening to an interview with Tim Vickery (South American based football correspondent) who was very position about Jesus and Moreno but reckoned that the latter was the better player. There was quite a buzz about both players at the time.

I guess one of the two becoming a first team regular is a reasonable outcome.

The OP was interesting - some of those signings are very strange indeed.

Moreno was one of those who looked useful on YouTube. In fairness, I think he got a pretty bad injury soon after going on loan to Deportivo and looks like it’s been all down hill for him since. I don’t know how to feel when you see a player on the books after so long. I suppose you could say we’ve stood by him, but when I look at the likes of Angelino, I can’t help feeling we messed him about a bit.

Didn’t he do the same with Fernandinho and Paulinho.

Collins Tanor has been with us since 2016 and is ALWAYS on our end of season retained list but I know the square root of f*ck all about him.
See also Mohammed Aminu.
Exactly.

2015 apparently (yes, I Googled as I thought it was a joke that went over my head).

Tanor doesn't even appear to have been anywhere else since the Summer of 2019.

Even FM21 has forgotten him but his last known action was 2019?

Mo Aminu has been on two loans and not played a game? Supposedly scouted by Real and Bayern but chose us.

We sold him a few years back, but Bruno Zuculini was another one of these. In fact he may have been one of the originals

Find it interesting to see where people I used to read on the back of programmes or read about in academy threads or in the FA Youth Cup Final have ended up over the years.
