Been surprised at how good it is. I watched it back in 2016 and thought it was ok, then sacked it off. Binge watched it though the last few weeks so I’m looking forward to the last series.

It's been a good show with consistent writing and some great acting.

That’s what I did. My daughter got me back into it start of this month and here I am now, starting the last season. If you have the time it’s worth it.

It’s the 80s nostalgia that gets me. Love it.

To be honest I was the same.

At one point it just clicked in for me and I was binge watching it

I thought it was very good. It was like a lot of thought went into it so there were very few loose ends.

That said maybe they could of condensed the entire series into 3 or 4 seasons max and still had the same ending more or less.

Have slowly gone off this series as it's carried on. As it's got bigger and bigger it's just felt emptier and emptier to me. Not a bad show, just a hugely limited one that perhaps got too big for its writers to handle. Season five has been a hard watch at times. But that was a sweet send-off. Stories are hard to finish and they did a solid job round it all off.

Think they've done really well with it. All in all it's been a great TV show with a fantastic cast.

Yep, your last line, I loved that too. But I guess I just thought a combination of the actors getting older and the increasing sci-fi weirdness of the story meant it was/would lose a bit of its charm if it kept going on and on … but you’re tempting me, think I will go back and pick up from S3

Yeah it was pretty good, the only gripe especially in the last episode is the momentum of the action came to a halt a couple of times for the unneeded explaining of emotions between certain characters.
What you really like each other a lot despite the odd argument and also dont care if your mate is gay? I could not have worked that out on my own.

Put in the TV series thread, the whole thing from season 1 was mainly excellent and will go down as one of the best of recent years.
Hard not to have a soft spot for a 80s Stephen King Spielberg vibe tv series.
