Strength of the Premier League next season...

we are head and shoulders above everyone else, then there’s 5/6 teams who are decent then it’s a shit show for relegation. All the hype cant hide the fact some teams are piss poor and are happy just to set up week in week out to not lose.

Ever one of my none blue friends have been telling me how poor the league is for years, well a since 2014 or so.
City have pushed the standard of the league up massively. A lot better than when ushited were winning it with 78 points. You would be hard pushed to come third with that tally now. The league now has six or seven teams that can compete for the four Champions league places .

I think we need strengthening, whether swapping Kovacic for Gundogan will work as effectively who knows. Hopefully we will bring in a couple more players to improve us. While the rest of the top teams fighting for the top 4 spot improve its important that we improve as well.

Liverpool are the danger,

Arsenal will still be out on their feet and with the added games they’ll finish 5/6 and Arteta will be gone.

United as long as they have De Gea in goal and no world class Striker are no threat.

Spurs will be better but not good enough.

Will take Poch a year to settle at Chelsea but will then challenge

I sense the top of the league might be stronger than it has ever been (us, that lot, Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs) yet the rest might well be weaker. Suspect that everyone will be so focused on the exciting challenge at the top to realise that the remaining teams are being left behind, and I'm not sure that will be healthy.

Got to agree. PL football right now is the best iv ever seen in my life and next year looks like it might be the most open (if we don't turn up). lfc, ars utd, Che, Brighton, even spurs all stand a chance.

Yesteryear it would have been predicted utd or Ars to win .... and that's exactly what it turned out as.

Then Chelsea came along, mixed it up, then City, Leicester, lfc.

Football has never been better in the PL.

I sincerely hope the media don't take us backwards to their simple view of football. Because alongside that or national team have been more successful too.

Lol

City will be top again. The rest me guy put up a challenge but it won’t be enough.

Doubt Silva goes. Gundo obviously a big loss but could be the year Foden really shines by moving into a central position… Very surprised you lot weren’t in for Maddison btw.

I don't know what happened with us and Maddison who seemed to go to Spurs for less than we were willing to pay for him in the Winter window. My only guess is that bringing in Gordon and probably bringing in Tonali has changed the type and position of the players we are now looking at.

What I do know is that I have total confidence that we will be looking to bring in the best players that we can so it’s great being able to just relax and wait to see what happens. I no longer look at a list of players and hope we bring them in, I just wait and see what is happening.
