She has no entitlement to comment? Think she has every right to comment.

What right does she have to comment on PCS activities when she's no longer in the PCS union?

If PCS activities have a direct impact on her job, it's terms and conditions, it's pay etc then she has every right to have an opinion on this and to voice that opinion. Maybe she's happy to accept the changes, just wants this matter all done with? Maybe she accepts the reasoning behind the changes as being sound? However she is not able to accept the new terms and conditions, she can't "just move on" because a union she is not a member of is preventing her from doing this. In that situation I'd have A LOT to say.

If she benefits from her co-workers losing money and making a stand, while she continued to work and get paid, you think that is right?

Always thought this as well, if you ain't in the union you don't get the benefits from the negotiations, you should have to go to your employer and negotiate your own, lets see how far you get when it's you against the management.

And what if they managed to negotiate a better package than those in the union - there would be uproar. The unions fight for a fair deal for all, not just union members so differnet benefits for different staff members at the same level is against what they stand for.

Then all power to them, I would not have lost anything by them doing so, but they benefit from me losing money if I go on strike and win.

She has no choice as to whether she benefits, or indeed loses out, due to the union's actions.

It's a lose/lose situation for the non-union members though. If the union negotiates a better deal than they do then they get a worse pay deal. If they negotiate a better deal than the union, the union will be in uproar, they will kick and scream, threaten strike action and probably get the same deal as the non-union member was offered. So the non-union member will always be worse off, that's not a fair situation to end up in just becuase you don't want to be in a union. The choice shouldn't be union member or worse wages.

There is another one on Friday 5th of April.

Half day this one.

Stand together. Lets not let us down eh?

I'm not sure history is littered with examples of non-unionised labour leading the way with improved pay and conditions
