Putting a wraparound extension on the house and need a SE to design the steels. Can anyone recommend someone? TIA

Internal or external?

You need an architect. Then, when you've finalized the plans with everyone, they should be able to recommend someone.

We used Albert at Fletcher Broadbent in Urmston a few yrs ago. Had internal dividing wall removed and he did the calcs and plans. Everything was fine.

Don’t know if it’s just coincidental, or if it’s the nature of the job and the type of mind it requires, but the structural engineers I’ve met tend to be really eccentric oddballs.
