If we play to our potential then we don't need to worry about the FA/the ref/any other excuses that people like to use.

Wet Spam beating us to stay up thanks to a dodgy pen under their new manager,whilst the dippers stroll to a 6-0 win at Hull and an "Injury ravaged" Spuds lost 4-0 at already relegated Burnley.

Have you noticed how we always seem to get the "Lesser" select group referees like Atwell, Walton, Lee Mason, Martin Atkinson, Lee Probert, Kevin Friend etc etc. We hardly ever get the likes of Webb, Bennett, or the more experienced lot. I know the likes of Dean are rubbish, but the sky 4 seem to always get the more experienced ones...

If you look at the sky coverage the majority of matches televised are reffed by Dean,Webb,Wiley and Marriner.

best ending City get 4th place on last day of season after Tevez scores winner against old club west spam (having once scored winner at swamp to keep spam up ) to send them down to coco pop league , FA start investigation on Tevez transfer after West Ham appeal irregularities in Tevez transfer from Scum to Citizens . Now that would get some air time on sky

I would be happy to chip each week to keep that fucker Bennett away from doing any of our games. The last 2 games he has done us are Wigan away last season and Stoke away this and he had howlers in both.

Thought he was faultless when we played Chelsea. Two definate reds, two definate penalties.
 
I don't know what is wrong with referees today, maybe they think too much, but they are all gash.

I have not seen a referee all season who has just melted into the background and got on with the job.

They seem to think we are there to watch them, for some reason, rather than the football!

Anyway, whoever officiates will be absolutely useless. I have been watching football for a long time, and I have never seen such incompetent refereeing on a regular basis as I have these last couple of years.

They are all useless.

We would be better off having no ref. Nige and one of theirs could contest the issue if there wasn't agreement over whose throw-in it was.

Attwell has been fast-tracked way beyond his ability, and now he's here the FA are in no mind to send the tosser back to Hough End.

The most absurd but accurate thing anyone could say about a forthcoming referee's appointment is that anything could happen, and it's just not good enough when the week's work on the training ground is left to the behest of a clown with a whistle.
 
As many of you have already said they are all corrupt to a man.

The FA as a sporting body is also the most corrupt in world sport, just look how they have let Ferguscum get away with all forms of misdemeanour over the years. Also they rarely review any incident involving a player from the "Big Four" as the referee has "already seen it" thus it can not be looked at again, yet all other clubs constantly have reviews done if one of their players is deemed to have transgressed.

Any top 4 team at home undoubtably get the majority of 50/50 decisions and some dodgy ones on top. With us it's almost like it's reversed.

With Walton the other night it was as if the more we screamed at him the more determined he was to screw us over.
 
can i just say How did steven gerrard get away with them elbows on micheal brown? and Ade got banned for 4 games against stoke?

As much as i agree that our refs are shocking and the appointment of walton for our last 2 home games unreal, i think we need to just get behind the team whatever happens, too many times we fell into the trap against everton of going ape with the ref, me included,
 
There is no corruption amongst referees, deceit on that scale would be impossible to keep a lid on.

Incompetence is another matter altogether.
