Sorry Buddy I've been here through tin and thin since 1968, seen it all and IMO he was an absolute waste of space.No chance. He wouldn't be in the top (bottom?) 10. If you lived/suffered through the late 80s and through the 90s,you could easily name five or 6 from that era alone.
He had a good squad but was absolutely clueless.... IMO

He took an over-inflated squad, and along with David Bernstein's boardroom leadership got rid of the high earners and wasters, and brought us back-to-back promotions.

We had a reasonable set of players. We were a comfortably just in the bottom half team, maybe even mid-table with a manager who knew what he was doing.I think Pearce kept us up despite the utter shite he signed the previous summer like Corradi
Pearce nearly got them relegated.
