Great impact player from the bench 20 to 30 mins to go not strong enough yet for 90 mins in the premier league. Give him the money he'll stay. IMO a bit like Micah in his attitude

Sturridge will go on to be world class, just needs a good run of games and to be played in his correct position which is striker, and the guy who said he can't pass, you not see his pass to Robinho against Blackburn in the last minute or against Stoke for his hat-trick.

Quality individual player, but as a team player, he needs to use his head a lot more than he currently does (and i dont just mean to head the ball), some of his decision making when he is on the ball is very immature.

Sturridge has very rarely had a decent run of games. He plays one then gets put back of the bench for a while and gets a 10 minute run out. Saturday was probably the worst game to fashion an opinion of him.

I think that he has not had a decent run of games cos as the OP stated he is an impact player. He came of the bench against Blackburn and saved the teams bacon with a great goal and a fantastic pass to set up Robinhos goal but then showed little against Nottingham Forest when given a place in the starting line up.

He has done this before and this is why he is not getting a run of games. He's inconsistent.

He played left wing, he's 18/19 so he's still learning his most natural role... how you've judged him already after an out of poisition performance in a half strength squad, well, then more fool you.

He played well on Saturday, only him and Kompany put any real effort in and tbh I felt abit sorry for him.

I thought Sturridge had quite a good game. Showed some good touches of skill, but needs to be in and around the penalty area, rather than wide left

He's been used on the left, because of injuries to Robinho and Petrov. I wonder if Hughes will move him inside, now that Bridge is available
