Stupid City fans

I couldn't believe my ears the other week when a fan sat a few seats away from me was continually slagging off Dzeko, it was almost like he was he was wanting him to fail so he could be proved right. You have to expect kneejerk reactions on here, players will always have poor games but thankfully at city nowadays they are nowhere near as poor as they used to be, we have just raised expectations. Mancini does make some strange decisions but he knows more about football than us and works with the players every day. Maybe we won't win the title this season and it might go back across the city, but the plans that we have for the future means that we will be challenging for years to come, something that we haven't had for a very long time.

Absolutely spot on mate! If we don't win anything this year will we still be there next?

-- Sun Dec 30, 2012 5:23 pm --

thread title that a rag would be proud of

Please tell me you are being ironic..

It's adjustment time for Some blues. So many years in the shadows and now right smack in the frying pan. They are the people who win the lottery and don't know how to handle it. We'll get there and get used to it. No way will we start turning into rags. I was at molineux last season when we sealed the deal for wolves to go down. Your average rag would have rubbed their faces in it but we applauded the wolves players, with the wolves fans. In a "we know, we've been there" way. Never more proud to be a blue that day because it showed we hadn't gone up our own arse!

Again spot on and I too felt that way. Even though we'd given ourselves the chance to actually win the title we still knew how they felt.
Sadly too many on here talking nonsense won't be at home games never mind away trips..

City fans being cynical is nothing new, it has been going on way before I started watching in 66, we enjoy a good moan at city, but for me it is imperative we retain the title to get the belief that we are the real deal, the amount of negative stuff is indoctrinated by the tv press Murdoch media, I am probably of a different character that I don't read any papers but every morning 1 st thing sky news is on so I can rant at whoever the newspaper man is on at 7.30 followed by my wanting to be listening to irani have a minor heart attack on talkshite? then on Saturday I can fkn let rip into those cushy basterds on soccer Saturday, then I have my favourite Sunday shithouse supplement, boy my neighbours must be thinking I'm committing murder, then to round the weekend off I can have a laugh at the most useless fkn opinionated pair on goals on Sunday, yes my cynicism is left for everyone except anything connected with man city, is this normal my paranoia is at full mode, when seeing ferguson and any of his arse licking cohorts on tv. The more shit that is thrown at city the more I stick up for them, nobody puts city in the corner? Do I need help, no just lifting the title again will do.

When you know that confidence plays a large part in any footballers performance I never understand any city fan who feels motivated to slag off our own players either on here or at the match. Of course some players are more resilient to criticism than others but why would you say something that could negatively impact on a players performance?

For me, it's not that people want to express their views of a particular player whether good or bad - it's not what is said it's how it's said that p*sses me off.

The extreme nature of some of the comments are unnecessary and add no value to a debate.

I guess ultimately, I just don't get the mentality of why you would want to slag one of your own.

Loads of stupid City fans knocking about, have a right gobby one in work giving us all a bad name, needless to say he had it rammed down his throat after the derby defeat.
