sturridge 6.5 million.and what for weiss

well we are about to get 6.5 million from sturridge.he was 21 years old when he left city on a free.we got this amount because he was under 23 and the amount was the development fee.
now city is in about similar situation with wess.but this time its the club who may be wanting to sell weiss.but he has 1 n half year left on his contract and weiss do not like to leave.club will not give him contract extension.this means he may leave in free.he will be above 23 at the time.
i dont think he will make it and city will offer him new contract.
correct me if i am wrong at any thing.
 
Wasn't he supposed to be getting sold to some Ukrainian/Russian team at end of last season but it fell through?

Really not sure about Weiss, he did OK in SPL and my understanding is he needs to have a really good loan spell in Spain. Anyone know how he is getting on over there?

Hope he makes it but not looking promising atm.

We may get circa £5m for him if lucky, hope we get a sell-on clause just in case.

I think we have already had £5.5 mill & we are just triggering a further £1mill from is england showing!

Yeah, off the top of my head was something like £3.5m + couple of million appearance based + £1m first international + 15% sell-on clause. Not too bad really, still not convinced he'll become a £25m+ stiker
 
Had a great game in the FA Youth Cup Final, I think Sturridge was injured for that game. He played well for Rangers on loan but anything above £3million would be good. I feel as though any money made in the future from selling academy players should go straight into the academy coffers.

i may be wrong but he leave city on free.its the development fee that city is getting in 6.5 million.those youngsters below23,if left the club in a free transfer then the club can charge the buying club,the development fee.i am not sure about the age limit of 23 ,but i am sure i read it somewhere when the saga of sturridge was going on.
he demanded about 70000 which city were not ready to pay as a salary per week and .he left because he had nocontract duration left.i remember so many topics being atarted about how much money city will get from him.
so this 6.5 million is said to be the final instalment.
i still remember it would have been like 9 million at the end but i thik 6.5 is all we will be getting
 
city have to offer weiss a new contract in writing before they get a development fee, same thing happened with everton and dan gosling when he went to newcastle in the summer, no formal contract offer so the league saw it as everton releasing him. if city offer a contract and it is turned down then the next club have to pay a fee. i think he will see out his contract or be sold for 3-4 mil in the summer either way i dont see him being offered another contract so a summer sale or no return as far as i am aware
