He's like a kid at the headmasters office. I can't believe he is denying it. Just be a man and admit you made a mistake. Work towards not doing it again.
Well if you appeal it you can't exactly say that you did what you're being punished for.

I think most people assumed they would be appealing the severity of the punishment not denying it actually happened.

To turn up sticking to this story that he accidentally fell into him will make the appeal as pointless as is possible. I've not seen anything about whether FIFA have the option to increase the punishment for a frivolous appeal. I'm guessing not or surely they wouldn't be bothering?
Yeah I understand what you're saying. But he has been banned twice for it already. So in theory it has to be more severe.

This is a piece on Suarez headbutting a referee when he was 15. Poor Luis always the victim.
Really good read. Thanks for posting. It explains a lot and puts his reactions into context. He does need psychological help though; not winning isn't going to take away his £ms or his family or their love. Sad.

I disagree with the whole "He needs help". Trying to turn this into some kind of addiction like crack or heroine. He's made a conscious decision on 3 occasions to bite someone. His conduct after the fact proves it's not some out of control mental issue otherwise he'd admit he'd done it. I just think it takes away his responsibility in the incidents and turns him into a victim of some issue out of his control which is BS. He's been allowed to get away with this crap for far to long and he feels entitled. Hence the "I'm being persecuted" nonsense he's always spewing, be it the diving, the biting, the headbutting, the racial abuse etc.. Because he has gotten off light every time he feels entitled and that he'll get away with it. And he has. So now that they have properly punished him he's shocked. If the FA had given him a proper ban the last time we wouldn't be in this position. They should have banned him for at least double what he got for the Ivonovich indecent and stipulated than any other indecent in the future, biting, racial etc.. that he would be banned for life. That would have been the end of it.

I think to punish Liverpool is wrong,he should have been banned from international football(not inc friendlies) for say 20 games ie this World Cup and South American Championship.

Would be gutted if it happened to a City player.

He has told FIFA he didn't deliberately bite him but lost his balance and fell into the guys shoulder
Haha

Another change to his story.

How can FIFA take his appeal seriously when he comes out with a different excuse every time he talks about it.

The ban should be increased, IMHO. I would have given him a 12-month ban originally, and then increase it following this ridiculous appeal.

Banned for 4 months, he's got plenty of time to sort out his teeth then hasn't he the bucked teethed cheating scouse cnut.

I'm not sure I entirely agree.

He clearly DOES have a few issues. I don't think it's an excuse per se, it's just the nature of him. Plenty of other players have similar trouble controlling themselves: Roy Keane / Balotelli / Duncan Ferguson and many others. In his case, it's manifested in his biting antics, in others its some other nasty habit.

I don't think he's gotten off lightly, I think he's generally paid a fair price for his actions, and continues to do so. Only it's costing him more and more each time (or rather costing his club more and more each time).

By all means, get the lad help, but the moment he steps on the pitch, he still has to live by the same rules as everybody else.
Banned for life would be madness, he's getting his 4 months, and next time it might be 8 months / a full season. It's his choice how he wants to deal with that. And if it's NOT his choice, and it's some mental issue he has, then it's his club's choice to take the gamble with him or not.

Every time City played Mario - we knew the gamble.... he might do something wonderful, or he might do something stupid. It's precisely the same for Liverpool, only with Suarez he does more wonderful things than Mario ever did, but now, he carries a much larger risk than Mario too.

He's simply just upped the ante at the 'Suarez temper' gambling table. Liverpool can't complain if they take that gamble.

I agree, if it's a frivolous appeal, it increases. It's not out to get him, it's just how the rules work. He had a choice, own up to it and take his medicine, or play silly buggers. He's chosen the latter, and that should cost him.

he might as well claim he was possessed by aliens (most likely who work in the British Press) who made him do it

either which way, this should be amusing to see it play out

- and I've got money riding on the Biters (shame really, as Columbia are a decent team and I'd hate to see them lose after James Rodriguez scored such a phenomenal strike)

& I can't see Suarez playing another season in England; somehow because they were 0-0 and going out at the group stage I can kind of believe it was an intentional foul to help him agitate his way out of Liverpool (& although I don't personally know the guy I could accommodate for him being as snide & cynical as this)
