Suarez (merged)

Re: Suarez......

I am not sure that City need a 4th striker at the moment..if we sell Mario. I am not even sure we are selling Mario as it my all be window-dressing by AC Milan to appease their fans.

Another thing to think about is that Liverpool and Suarez will be pretty happy at the improvements they are making this season. They have a chance of etting 4th spot this season.....I think it's between them and Spurs. They play each other at Anfield and although there are plenty of teams around Liverpool and they are still 7 points behind Spurs, LFC are the improving club.

The top four is sealed though. I don't think that any club really matches the quality of Spurs....

City, Rags, Chelsea, Spurs.

Agreed, it's just the order that matters now. I can see Everton taking 5th though and pushing hard for 4th.

I have a sneaky feeling (pure guess work) that come 8-9pm on deadline day, City will test Liverpool's resolve with Suarez. Can see us offering £20-25m & I think Liverpool will squirm as Suarez will say he wants to leave. It's just the type of drama we all expect.
Absolute horrible excuse of a human being but.... God he'd improve us & would score some goals. He's banging them in at the red dippers, imagine Silva, Nasri etc threading him balls!

20 million? Lol.. they've paid him 23-24, he just signed a contract and plays very, very good

I wouldn't sell him for 30 on their place.

As I pointed out clearly.... We would "test their resolve" & I said £20-25m. You have no idea if there is a buyout or not & it'd be a cheeky bid nothing more. If it'd be accepted or not doesn't matter.

-- Mon Jan 21, 2013 6:36 pm --

Not going to happen in this month, as Suarez has only recently signed a new deal. If they are still nowhere near qualifying for the Champions League in the next couple of seasons, then we could see what happens.

Now or never for me, if it doesn't happen in Jan it won't happen at all. In the Summer we'll buy one of Cavani or Falcao so we won't buy Suarez as well IMO unless to replace Mario this window.

Who is to say we won't get Falcao or Cavani?

I think Real Madrid are favourites for Falcao and Cavani could stay for a Champions League campaign at Napoli if they get the Champions League spot, which looks a certain.

Either way I wouldn't put all your money on us guaranteeing us one of them players.

I said IMO we would buy one or the other but in the Summer, what I said was we won't buy said player & Suarez in the Summer! If we were to get Suarez then it'd be now or never.

How is bidding about half of a player's value testing a club's resolve?
When has that ever worked?

There is talk of Suarez having a £40m clause if they're not in the CL and a CL club bids it. If that doesn't exist i'd be surprised if Liverpool accepted less than what they got for Torres.

You seriously think Saurez would be our 4th striker if he joined us?

Re: Suarez......

Dont want him we had enough problems with balotellis antics and if we did get him every article will be bad (we all know its controlled by that red rubbish) please mancini look at someone else

Besides liverpool wont allow him to go to any manchester club after heinze werent allowed to join to liverpool
