News everywhere (SSN etc) now quoting Suarez has saying that he would consider staying in England. Selling to Arsenal would be more of a threat to Liverpool's top 4 challenge than City - can see him being tempted to Chelsea though.

Because I don't think Suarez has any intention of staying in England - as he's said countless times already. I personally believe he and his agent are using interest from within the Premier League to push Real Madrid into firming up their interest in him. Which is why he's completely changed his tune recently. I may be wrong, and he may sign for Arsenal - but this has 'Protracted Transfer saga before ultimately signing for Real Madrid anyway' written all over it for any Premier League Club stupid enough to get involved in it.

No to mention the fact that Liverpool will want at least £40 million for him and, good player though he is, he isn't worth that fee as his disciplinary record throughout his career has been nothing short of appalling - I mean really, really fucking bad. He's guaranteed to get banned at least once a season, and to therefore miss around 6 to 8 games because of it, therefore he can't be relied upon to be available for the big games. Only to then create an almighty stink, publicly belittle his parent Club who have stood by him despite this all being entirely of his own doing, and try to force a Transfer elsewhere. And given the fact that we as a Club have recently been at pains to get rid of a very good, but completely ill-disciplined and unreliable striker in Balotelli, its pure stupidity to think that we'll make the exact same mistake again so soon.

I actually think Negredo would be a better bet for City than Suarez, even though he isn't as good a player - just because he isn't a complete Circus, and an over-grown Child incapable of controlling himself. Suarez is a joke of a player, and I'm glad we appear to be allowing sense to prevail in staying well away from him.
 
With the imminent signings of Negredo and Jovetic (if not already done) I think puts paid to any chance of him arriving at our club.

They won the FA Cup in 2006, got to the CL final in 2007 and finished 2nd in the Prem in 2009.

But I too can't see why any top player would want to play for Liverpool because since 2009 they have seriously gone backwards, almost as far a a club did in the early 90s. Who was it? Oh yes, Liverpool! :)

The clause in Suarez's contract states that Liverpool must listen to offers over £40m but there's nothing to say they have to accept them. Genius bit of work by Pere Guardiola there having him sign that, probably too busy what he'd be spending his cut on. Fucking hate agents (side rant)
