I went for Zaltan on the basis of Jose arriving

i think if jose does arrivr then drogba terry and essien <essien and terry world record fees>

Chelsea would never sell 3 of their best players ...... at the moment out of those 3 Drogba maybe the one to go but two will be staying.

but if Jose arrives on his white charger I think he'll be followed by Zaltan and Terry

I guess we've got different ideas

thats what a debate is about pal id love terry leader and great center half but essien 1 of the best all round footballers in the world

What can I say is what I have already said on a few other threads:

1. Club and ADUG have been working over time since summer on a number of transactions.

2. New salary/transfer and financial packages have been developed that protect us and the player we seek.

3. Players have been identified a long time ago.

4. We have contacted agents and players, players and agents have contacted us.

5. Negotiations for several players are in advanced stages (4 minimum) at this stage.

6. Will the world transfer record be smashed - YES!

That is all I can say - no names, nothing else!

Good God. Here we go again. I'm not going to go down the let's bully Ajay route, but this is not rocket science. You could apply points 1 to 5 to virtually every football club in the land at this point of the season.
1) Of course the Club and its owners work on potential deals throughout the year. kaka work was begun months and months before the news actually broke.

2) Apart from 2) being the vaguest of statements, Garry Cook and the manager have frequently talked of how the Club will go about their business deals with prudence and structure. again, much was made of the new structure and payment plan of the kaka deal when Cookie did his follow up press after the deal broke down. this is not news.

3) Again, ditto point 1. every club does this. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man Ure will identify who they want " a long time ago"

4) Of course we contact agents and they contact us. Ditto Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man Ure, Leyton Orient, you name it.....

5) Again, ditto point 1. every club does this. etc etc etc. Are you telling me that any of the big hitters, and the small ones for that matter don't have advanced talks done at this stage? We'd virtually signed that idiot Jo, by May last year.

6) City will smash the world transfer record? Doesn't this get written every day of the frigging week in the media? Wow, City in "breaking transfer record shock".

This is NOT informed opinion and yet everyone's getting giddy about it. Talk about Sulaiman cranking it up?? Ajay, I respectfully, and I truly mean respectfully, suggest you're doing exactly the same.

"Now, we just have the normal press bullying with no one to put them straight. If Sully was still around, I'd like to believe he would not have taken any nonsense from them"

For starters Eddie, he's the biggest reason for the press bullying in the first place. His "loadsa money" bollocks is the reason why average punter on the street with a soft spot for city now doesn't any more (not that I'm particularly bothered by that,) but more importantly, we probably have to stick an extra nought onto every player we go in for because of the perception that "money is no object" that that dickhead promoted in the first place.

Very true; I just miss that feel good and bravado at City that he brought because it reminded me of Big Mal. Just so much doom, gloom, denial, silence (chose your own permutations) around at the moment.

I know football and the world has changed since the 60's, I just feel football (in general, not just City at times) has lost its fun and swagger.

Sulaiman Al Fahim was like your dad playing Dr Dre on volume 30 whilst dropping you off at school in the middle of the playground.
