Sunday Supplement 2016/17

Results wise we haven't progressed, mainly due to a lack of pragmatism WRT defending and sticking with Bravo in nets too long.
That said you can clearly see the improvement in overall team play so to say we haven't improved is clearly wrong.

As to sports journalists - most of them are the scum if the earth and invent stuff to fit their preconcieved agenda. Most never actually report on the facts in a game as these get in the way of a good story. The great journalists of the past would turn in their graves. Not just sports journalists mind, they're all at - one of the main reasons why western democracy is flushing itself down the loo.

On the nail. Well said.

Last season, we were lucky that Chelsea imploded under Mourinho, and even then, we only just scraped into the CL Play Offs.
Guardiola inherited this lethargic mess, and regardless of our final position, City have definitely improved.

Well five strikers and no support players is a weird formation!

You're right though, it was a collective failing. It was just dysfunctional generally, not enough wide men for variation, no real plan, and an over the hill pudding.
Yep it was all a mess but if you go across boards they like to blame a certain player or players for our Euro exit. The fact of the matter is as you say collectively they were shite and no one could go home and say they had a good tournament. England fans have short memories though, the times we haven't qualified and failed in most major competitions they just need someone to blame

Even by their standards this week was hilarious. Guardiola a massive disappointment, United very unlucky. Ducker can't seem to hide his bias.
I only caught the last half hour but he was droning on towards the end about how Rashford was the real deal, Martial would come good and Pogba will look like a £90m player next season (I may have misheard the last bit as I was laughing), they're not that deluded even at the Caff.

Try and catch the first thirty minutes via podcast mate. Ibra has a right to slag off players and Mourinho's treatment of Shaw has worked. (He's played one game)

i watched it and it was jaw dropping stuff, most on us was negative and the shite were building for the future, where has john cross vitriol come from? thought he was going to burst
we are a massive disappointment where as they were doing ok, we are really hated

You've got to remember that it's their livelihood they're talking about. A successful rags is not just Scudamore's wish, it also keeps them in a job, so they'll spout any positive shit they can about them. The Ministry of truth is working overtime to keep them onside.
