We should have the book thrown at us for overpaying for players and inflating the market.
Funny thing is, have we actually overpaid for any player since Hughes left?
He named Garcia as an example, but £16m is not overpaying based on his performances in Portugal. And all of last summers signings were very good value.
The only one I can think of is Rodwell.......but that's down to injuries rather than ability.
