Two teams defended well, our keeper made a couple of decent saves, they made lots of blocks. Fair result, and not a bad one for us, even if we were a bit unfortunate. I thought we were the better team overall, but they battled hard for a result.

Annoys me how these teams throw themselves to the floor so often (see Forest), getting the fans to sing "you're not fit to referee" trying to influence him, I think he's often shit, but for the most part tonight he managed things well.

Helps if players make a run though.. Erling didn't really make any runs to the near post.. It's a shame as both players tried to put it there..
Hopefully we beat Chavs and Brighton..

It’s the only run I would make as a forward in our team with those two on the wings. They almost never do anything with it. Between them they must have had 15 atgemots to either score or find their man and they couldn’t manage it.

Far play to Sunderland. Thought they were excellent. A team and a set of supporters together as one fighting for everything. Can't help but admire that.

On another day we probably win that. Haaland should have scored and so should savinho.

It's frustrating given the title race but it wasn't a bad performance imo. I felt city battled really hard just missed big chances when they had them.

Sunderland raised their game and played well. They have Spurs and Everton coming up but I doubt they'll manage to play with this level of energy in those games. Like you, I thought we battled hard but just couldn't hit the target. Mind you, the Gvardiol flick/volley would have been a hell of a goal. Can't see Sunday's game being anything like this one.

We beat them 3-0 less than a month ago and it could have been 5 or 6. - Looks like two points dropped to me.

I agree with this. I was disappointed we didn't win but that is one of the most difficult away games we will play and last season we would probably have lost that. We came very close to winning it and controlled the game for the most part.

We waited until the 2nd half before we made any serious attempts to even score a goal. Very disappointing to see us coming out playing so cowardly against a newly promoted side in the middle of a title race.

We perhaps could have won it in the end but its hard to win games if you wait half the game before you start playing football.

Not good enough today, and considering we have already played poor on many occasions earlier this season we have left us with little room to drop points against poor teams. Especially the same gameweek as Arsenal destroys the other top3 team in the league.

We don’t like physical teams away from home. Not for the first time away this season we only played well in patches. It is a recurring theme.

I'd love to know just how long the ball was in actual play for the 2nd 45 + 4. I reckon it will be the least since that Everton game a few years back.
