Sunderland (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It was a cold night in Sunderland tonight.

I thought we were off it first half. Second half after the subs we looked loads better.

Not sure how we didn't score, Sunderland defended quite well and we missed a couple we should really have put away.

They had two quite good chances also but Donnarumma saved both.

Probably a fair result overall.

We should've won that.

We dominated the 2nd half and created many decent chances, on another day we would've thrashed them.

Fair play to them though, they made it difficult and you could see why they're unbeaten at home, but still that was two points dropped.

I thought Savinho played well from the off, but should've buried at least two.
I thought Erling looked like he couldn't be arsed pretty much all game, and he should've buried his chance.
If those go in it could've been so different.

There were a lot of decent performances tonight though and i like our depth.

But if we add, the Semenyo we know, and get back, Rodri (he looked class tonight, him next to Gonzalez....) and the Marmoush we luved, we'd be favourites for everything imo.

Tough result we should have won

I think it's a tough one on Haaland, on substitution situation he should have been subbed today but at the same time he can pop one in just like that. In today's game I should have brought Foden out and played with both Haaland and Marmush if he’s not been in Afcon

But I'm sure as hell not a coach

Good to see Rodders back Nico has done really well and a very good player and a good replacement for Rodri but is it only me who think the biggest difference between them is that Rodri is a better passer and plays the ball more forward then Nico?

Thought Savinho did good before he got injured shame on those injuries hope they not to serious

The amount of posters on here saying good point are in denial…. Promoted team, half there new signings out and there best defender out…. Poor result

If arsenal had done that tonight we’d be celebrating like mad!

Savio couldn’t hit the dish at jodral bank if he had a go from 10 yards.
It was a great game - great 0:0 tbf...sometimes you run your socks off and don't get the win. Its football, they were great, 100% commitment..as were we.... really promising from us re grit, composure etc...defending against fast physical forwards...bodes well for second half of the season

4pts from 2 tricky away games isn’t too bad.

They defended well and were well organised. The final pass was often missing tnite.

Rodri was a positive and superb with his distribution.

Are you sure you are ‘Zen’?

Does ‘Zen’ work hard or is it given on a plate?

Isn’t Zen about understanding, especially after the fact?

And thou still doesn’t understand, nor accept, the Zen.
Not to digress as this is a football board, I'm not here and never have ventured to bore anyone with my practice- however I will not be called out by some two bit "I wiki-ed Zen for a minute" fraud.

Zen doesn't work, Zen simply is. Zen does not step in to solve problems, it doesn't take credit for wins or make excuses for losses- it simply is. Zen isn't given, taken or received or lost.

It is there in absence of everything , it is there in the presence of nothing.

Zen doesn't understand, doesn't misunderstand. It is not some magic rubric for devining. Facts are irrelevant, after the fact is exactly the same as before the fact.

Those who ascribe some value or worth to Zen have absolutely zero understanding. That said, Zen is not to be understood- Zen simply is.

Once the purportedly wisest man claimed to understand Zen and as such stopped searching. He was never as alone or lost than at that moment.

Zen cannot be quantified or qualified. It will not be questioned as it is has no answer and is no question.

Zen simply is awareness of the absolute present moment and knowledge that the only thing that exists is that one inherently and infinitely fleeting present moment and then to simply accept this reality without judgment, qualification, sanction or exception.

Bottom line, any charlatan who raises the question "are you Zen" by definition will and can never truly "know" Zen.
