It's got dropped points written all over this.

Sunderland are utter shite but they managed to hold Spurs the other week.

This game is it for them. Lose and they are cast adrift.

Hopefully we just play our own game and go for as many goals as possible.

*Defoe scores
*Pickford has a worldy

We can't afford to drop any points. We have a difficult spell coming up in the league and lose/draw here and we may be in danger of being cast adrift.
Sunderland will believe given their generally good home form against us over the last 5 or 6 years that there is something in it for them. Might be a difficult afternoon
if we don't score an early goal

I'm going up on sunday and as i've never seen us win in my 4 previous visits to sunderland you can blame my presence there if we drop points.
Maybe you should reconsider heading up on Sunday. Take one for the team so to speak!!

Thaksinsolider: it all depends on whether they bought him or not. I am fairly sure that he was bought by Sunderland either this season or last which means he will be able to play against us. Even with Denayer we still have to much quality throughout the team for Sunderland in this game, providing we don't make to many mistakes at the back. I will take a 2-1 win and not play the game, but I do expect us to win by a comfortable score say 3-1 or 4-1.

If we are to stand any chance of winning the Premier league this is a must win game, as are all the games between now and the end of the season.

I sure Denayer was only Loaned. Depends what type of clause he was loaned with. Seems strange we had Roberts eligible against us but not Mooy for example.

Denayer is only loaned to Sunderland so is ineligible to play against us as was Mooy. Roberts playing against us was in the champs league. Their rules are different.

Good team selection but as well as Yaya has done, I'd probably have Fernandinho instead as he covers more ground and battles harder. 3-0.

Moyes knows how to set up defensively but they are worse at the back than we are and a -24 goal difference tells you we should win this if we turn up.

Silva, Yaya and Ferna midfield for me but wouldn't be surprised if Pep gave game time to Delph, Nolito or Fernando. I thought KDB was poor last night and i'd rest him or play him off the bench. Sagna back in at RB, Kolorov at LB and Stones Ottamendi CB's. 4-1-4-1
