Been on the sun newspaper website, I really don't understand why I look at the posts after each game because I know there just going to cause a great level of frustration, you have ya Villa, Spurs, Arsenal and Yoonited fans all banging on how Sunderland were robbed out of a win???
Sorry but do these people actually watch the fuckin game or do the just listen to Talk Sport and go off what all the rag twats on there say????
Imo and I'm not being biast to City here but I feel as Sunderland should count themselves lucky to walk away with a point could of so easily been 3 or 4 - 1 to City if it wasn't for Craig Gordan.

On another day, Sunderland would have lost by a handful - Goalkeeper saved about six, half of which might have gone in on another pitch, Vieira had one near kicked of the line, RSC had one which whipped past the post by inches, Barry flashed one inches wide. It was one of those days when the simple wasn't going to work, it would take a superb piece of skill to get a draw. Haven't seen the stats but I expect them to show that in the second half Sunderland were overwhelmed, completely dominated.

Obviously we were lucky to go in just 1-0 down at H/T, it also helped that Jones went off as he gave Kompany a torrid time BUT we absolutely murdered them in the second half and should have won. Personally I couldn't give two s*its of the opinion of some no-mark who "reads" The Sun!

This made me feel slightly better thanks :)

Your right tho we were lucky at half-time Kompany was surprisingly poor he is normally rock solid at the back hopefully its just a minor hicup plus not having played a game for near enough a fort night can have an impact on a few players.

Given had nothing of note to do all game. Even in the 1st half it was long distance shots

Sunderland fought like mad in 1st half, but couldn't keep it up

We probably had 7 or 8 clear-cut goalscoring chances in the game, wheras other than thier goal, I cannot think of any that Sunderland had, aside from a few long range efforts.

Way too many of our players had shockers against Sunderland - we need a good right back desperately.
And Micah - you penalty area dives would make even Stevie Starfish blush with enbarrassment!

marks out of 10 - player ratings

Given - 6 (distribution was quite good)
Richards - 4
Bridge - 6
Kompany - 3
De Jongh - 5
Barry - 5
Lescott - 7 (rock solid)
Viera - 7
Bellamy - 6
SWP - 2
Johnson - 8
RSC - 6
Tevez - 6

I agree with SWP rating he was aweful, I would of rated it more like

Given - 6
Richards - 7
Bridge - 5
Kompany - 4
Zabaleta - 5
De Jong - 6
Barry - 5
Lescott - 8
Viera - 7
Bellamy - 6
SWP - 2
Johnson - 8
RSC - 7 (he won everything thrown at him in the air and to his feet and set up Tevez a few times)
Tevez - 6

I thought Richards did well considering how poor Kompany was beside him he had a lot to do.

Sun readers are all sexual perverts and therefore all wear bottle-lens glasses and can't see much.

Sorry dont know how you can rate Kompany as 4 and Richards did well, must have been watching a different game. Richards hasnt stopped a cross coming into our box for the last 2 years and between him and Zab they allowed the cross for the goal. Considering Malbranque cant cross with his left Micah in his wisdom ''forced him onto his right foot''....... he cant defend end of and can only run in straight lines.

spot on.

They punched themselves out, and we should get used to it cos a lot of teams are going to play us that way from now on.

We really need to work on that killer instinct, should have put them to bed second half.

Agree we were poor in the 1st half, though I do not think having such a long lay off since the Chelski gane helped. Now the games are coming thick and fast this should work in our favour. We absoloutly battered them in the 2nd half and on another day would have won 3 or 4 - 1.

Keep the faith, 4th is ours for the taking and still in our own hands.
