Nico G was an inspired buy. He's certainly got potential to be the permanent replacement for Rodder's should we need one.
Yeah I was furious on that one called him a waste of money, not good enough, slow on the ball, too slow, read the game bad. But suck me sideways I was wrong on that one.

Was fuming on Duku aswell but he also proved to be a good buy,

I enjoy watching Phil more than any player in fifty years. Collectors item header. Cherki is going to get a lot of players sent off

Never ever appraise a new player till he has settled in and had a few games. You can’t get it right straight off.

Job done. Today was all about getting the points and we did that reasonably comfortably in the end against a side that has been troubling most teams they face. Don't think it was a particularly great performance in truth, failed to create many proper chances and played way too slowly in the first half but after taking a 2 goal lead we wete much better in managing the game second half and pep got some important rest into key players. Got to follow it up with a result at Palace now though, we beat the dippers and they threw away that progress by losing to newcastle the next game, Time to put in a run of wins and put some proper pressure on arsenal.

Trouble is, with all due respect to yourself, too many judge players over a couple of performances rather than over a couple of seasons. It's a sliding scale, you get those who don't rate them if they don't hit the ground running and score or win MOTM in their first match, down to those who don't understand that they need time to get used to the club, the team, the coaching, the environment itself, all while, in most cases, having to settle in to a new country. I just want more people to give them time.

Cherki, Marmoush, Khusanov, Reijnders, they're all class players who were very highly rated where they came from. We've got the makings of another great side here but it's not going to happen overnight.

Even so we're second on merit to "runaway leaders" Arsenal, who according to one armchair expert last week wouldn't lose 4 matches this season so we have no chance - well they've lost 2 in 15 now so why wouldn't they lose 2 in the final 23?
