It was a foul on the defender who went down, by Sterling catching him.In that instance he was interfering with play.

If you don't consider that offside you need to read the rules. The lineman gave offside against Sterling not Silva. Watch it back and you will see him say it to Silva.

Silva was onside many as you say but thats not the decision that was made.
