Yep. Congratulations and well done to Sunderland. But please don't go taking 5 points off us next season!

The last time they took 5 points off us we won the league.

I'm hoping history repeats itself, and if it does they're welcome to do the same again next season :)

Congrats Mackems - great run of performances, great run of results, and (on the whole) a great bunch of lads to watch their team in the premier league.

Very happy they stayed up. Like Poyet, mad as a bag of frogs but not in a Di Canio way, some good players and by the look of it they play nice football as well. It also helps their reaction in the final game in 2012, very funny doing the Poznan and upseting bacon face.

My one gripe is Cattermole. Does he have to tuck his shirt into his shorts?

It's the Simon Cowell look.
Shoot me down in flames but....Cattermole was brilliant last night..I swear on my kids lives...he hit "3" totally defence splitting passes....he must have been possessed by something or other.

I don't know why we are wishing them well and congratulating them after the pain they manage to inflict on us once a season, but it's really hard to dislike them

I wish them well, it was a hell of a fightback

I'm surprised that Poyet's name has not been mentioned more widely for manager of the year.

Sunderland really should be docked points.

First one guy points out they took 10 points from us, Chelsea and United away. Now you're stating that they've managed an impossible total of 5 points of us.

Something really is fishy with Sunderland's points total to escape the drop zone this year..

because it's manager of the year, not manager of the last 6 games.. All season they've been below average in the league

Sunderland supporters are probably delighted at the moment but I'd be worried if it was me. This Sunderland team have shown time and again this season they can turn it on when they feel like it (vs Newcastle, us, cup run, United and Chelsea) but in the 'non-big' games they are even more disorganised and lacking in effort than QPR of last season. Unless there's a big clearout the same kind of thing will happen next season, this group of players will get tired of Poyet like they have done the last few managers.
