Does anyone know what the take up is (or could be) for Superbia, and am I right in thinking this could be a big effect on how many Away Ticket would be left available for the Points System allocation?

That's the whole point, anyone offered a superbia card goes to pretty much all away games anyway, so no it won't affect available tickets as they would have already got theirs in previous years.

Renewed my seasoncard on the phone yesterday and asked if anyone had taken up the Superbia package. Guy on the phone said that they had sold out. Checks date, nope its not April the 1st. Either you or the guy in the ticket office are on the wind up. No way have we sold a 1000 Superbia memberships. He probably meant 1 but accidently added three zeros.

a pal of mine who was also offered it was told take up had been extremely good, but just to re-iterate everyone we know who has been offered it has declined, bar the odd one, has declined. I reckon take up could be as low as 100, or even less. I don't think I'd have done it even if I had the way with all to pay for it up front.............

Doesnt matter about tickets, the superbia lot will have been going to every away game anyway and are probably high up on the points list to get tickets on first day of sale anyway.

This.

If it was offered to those with the highest points, those fans would be going to every game anyway.

Depending on how well we do in the cup competitions, those buying Superbia may break even.

Before the season starts, there is the Dublin Cup, tour to USA and the Community Shield tickets that are thrown in with the Superbia package so if the hardcore fans were going to these games anyway, the saving has started.

As I said, its a big "if" on how well we do in the cup competitions.

at 2500 quid i doubt they have been snapped up

I think now people are forwarned for next season, there will be more. Its just a bit steep for a lot of people to find right now, but I reckon there will be about 3,000 of these next season.

Yes, but how many with say 4,000 points have been offered and taken up Superbia therefore jumping in front of those with 4,000 to 7,000 points?

It was only apparently offered to 1000 people and they all had higher points. Would mean the example you gave wouldnt happen.

Intitially that scenario wouldn't have happened. What would have been/could still possibly be interesting is if the takeup isn't great. If, of the initial "lucky few" they only get, say 200, take up the option, do they stick with 200 Superbia members, or do they lower the points total and invite those with less points? Is there a limit on how often they do this? Could it eventually reach the 4000 points level? Who knows, but it's something to keep an eye on.

My guess is that around 100 might take it up, I know quite a few people that have been offered superbia but none that are taking it.

It was an invite only to those with the highest loyalty points (not sure at what point it stopped) and I have been told that the club has no plans to go beyond those on the initial list if the take up is poor..........

i was offered it at 8000 points, but debated with gold and platinum, finally went for platinum, wasn't going to but i'll just miss fulham away to pay for it !
superbia, even getting to finals with replays wouldn't justify cost.

they couldn t have sold out on superbia as i havn t renewed yet and i m still not sure what to do, i think i might be frightened in to it, you see if they do the same next year and it says for platinum you go on a waiting list for superbia next season, then people like me on the top points will get squeezed out as others take the offer up, leaving only a handfull of tickets to those that dont have superbia, i m talking away tickets, that would lead to in my opinion the rest of us to go in a ballot for aways like trafford..i reckon about three seasons at most

1000 would mean 100% take-up as as the bloke above says it is impossible it has sold out yet.

I have noticed a major flaw in this (not expense related), anyone else?
