Does anyone know what the take up was? I have seen as low as 25 and as high as a 1000

25 pal! i think this will rise considerably next year if we achieve our goals!

In that case, the 25 deserve to be looked after but the club must be disappointed in the take up.
I think the club need to realise that on the whole we are a working class fanbase. I think a club from the capital would have been better for the Sheikh if they were expecting 2500 fans to take up the £2500 Superbia membership.

Exactly because it's all bollox. The sooner the club realise that some fan's can't be bought the better. It makes you wonder why they can't look at what's happened at the scum because if we carry on we'll soon be following them. They have a solid base and have won multiple trophy's we have won one and treat the fans like shite, who have followed us through the lean times. We have taken an initial allocation of 1,700 for Spurs away and are struggling to sell out 27,000 for the community shield, the scum have 20,000 applications for every away game and we can't sell 2,000 so Cooke and the gang need to get real ASAP.

When I renewed my Season Ticket in June I asked how many Superbia had been taken up and was told about 100. If I was told it was any where near a 1000, owning a Season Ticket and 6,000 points in the hope of getting most away tickets would have been impossibly difficult. In fact there would be no point in holding a Season Ticket. Pay as you go would have been an option. City have to tread very carefully on this supurbia allocation and remember the Fans who travel away all Season also need a reliable Away Ticket allocation for all Fans.

It would make no difference if 1000 had taken up superbia - they were offered it because they go to most of the aways anyway, so the 975 that didn't take it up are 3000+ points ahead of you and will mist likely take up their tkts before you - so it's just the same.

Wish I had your faith in them using these tickets for themselves. Where did the 2,800 blackpool away tickets go to last season.

They did similar in south africa two years ago with cook giving out free shirts 3 months before they came out (sash one).

i went south africa, danny wilson sorted out the shirts out, there was only about 30 of us over there from m/cr,we got them two weeks early before the official launch date.....danny wilson= top bloke.....

I said they would take their tkts, if they sell them, it still makes no difference to you getting yours?

Not if they get TWO each like last years Blackpool game!!!

Who got two each? The fans with thousands of points more than you?

Youv'e just answered my point, there's less tickets for everyone else.

No it hasn't, your point was that the numbers taking up Superbia m/ship would affect your own eligibility to get away tickets.

You now seem to have changed "your point" to one that seemingly, for at least one away fixture last season, the club chose to reward their most loyal fans by permitting them to buy two tickets each. I don't know if this true or not, but I do know it isn't you original point. It also just underlines that this season you are probably further away from being eligible for the most sought after away tickets, irrespective of the number of people that took up superbia.
Feel free to change "your point" again, maybe you couldn't get the exact seat you wanted at Wembley because the club allocated it to some one eligible 4 days before you?

Just to confirm the club did NOT allocate 2 tickets per season ticket to Blackpool away last year

To add fuel to your Blackpool ticket allocation argument here are 2 pages from the OS:

Ticket allocation was 2,300. At 11:00am on Sat 25th they posted that the tickets had sold out. Criteria that day was 4500 points and had been 5000 the day before, so probably only a couple of hundred people in the 4500 to 5000 points bracket got a ticket. From the initial page even though it does not say it this looks like it's one ticket per number of qualifying points.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/news/tickets-and-travel/2010/september/blackpool-ticket-details" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/news/tickets-and- ... et-details</a>

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/news/tickets-and-travel/2010/september/blackpool-tickets-sell-out" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/news/tickets-and- ... s-sell-out</a>

With Spurs it's different 'cos they are a bit crafty. 1700 is the initial allocation. We can get more if we want but if we don't sell this allocation quickly we run out of time and Spurs sell the other 1300 that they are obliged to offer us to Spuds fans. (This is because their ground really is too small for the crowds that they can expect to draw especially against a side like City). Also there's some stunt with the sale or return rules that they pull which would mean that City would have to pay for any unsold tickets. You can't blame them really and it's in their interest to charge a high price which invariably puts off the travelling away fan. (Note: 3,000 seats or 10% of capacity, whichever is the smaller must be offered to away fans as a minimum. Spurs capacity is 34K+)

p.s. gazhino, I was compiling my contribution whilst you posted so didn't see your comment.

They didn't do what was mentioned to them as an option at PoB which was to have a ticky box & sliding scale section for new card holders to put in which away's they'd likely attend depending on the pricing of the ticket, which would mean for each game they'd have an idea of how many wanted to attend.

I think the club do realise that we have a working class fanbase, hence the value gold season tickets and very small rises on the regular season tickets.
you not correct about a london club having a higher take up as the main advantage of the superbia appears to be away tickets (the extras of player dinners, signed stuff etc are just that, extras). London clubs have the same if not less travelling fans than we do, so the take up would be less.

Price rise 2009/10 - no rise in fact a 7% reduction on average
Price rise 2010/11 - 5% average
Price rise this year - 6.5% average

ST prices 2008/09 - £388-538 (previous owners set price)
ST prices 2009/10 - £369 - £550
ST prices 2010/11 - £388 - £600
ST prices this year - cant find (anyone know and I will edit)

thats based on a gold membership this year, platinum obviously slaps on an extra 10-15%.
cant really call the current owners for before 2009 as they didnt set the prices.
\
Not sure how you can have had £140 rise unless you have upgraded to platinum. In which case that was your choice and cant be blamed on the club.
