In January 2004 my then 9 month old son Harvey-James battled and beat Meningitis through his own pure strength and will power to continue with his young life, We were told at the time that it was now up to Harvey if he wanted to survive this awful ordeal we found ourselves in and survive he did !! Harvey pulled through and despite losing all of his toes and parts of his feet, some digits on his hands, numerous operations he is now the loveable 12 year old you see in the picture. Without the help and support of Charity's like Meningitis Now our story could have been so very different.

I have just completed A FULL YEAR WITH NO BEER in aid of the Charity, Thank you to everyone who has donated & supported me during the 'Dry' year, We have met so many Blues along the way and been overwhelmed by the kindness of the Blue family. I have raised over £13,200.

If any Blues can spare a small donation and help make a difference it will be very much appreciated.

Well Done Pal , a really great achievement , I have made a couple of donations and was thinking about you on the 1st Jan and was wondering how that first beer must have tasted , definitely not something I think that I could do .

Thanks mate and for your support & donations last year. The countdown to midnight on New Years took forever but has been worth it. The hangover is still there now and I spent the WHOLE DAY New Year in bed with the room spinning at one stage !!!!

Donations are still being added which is simply fantastic.

Nice story mucker. You're lad did you proud. I do like a happy ending :-) just threw a few quid in the pot. CTWD
