Support Pep

I would imagine Pep is ...
- 20% tactics
- 20% skills
- 40% motivation
- 20% faith

It mindboggles my boggled mind why he sticks to tactics that are mind-boggling.

Like not playing Grealish in the middle years ago. Or winning corners that we never score from. Or constantly being vulnerable to breaks. Or being shit at breaks ourselves.

I think his success has relied on faith in his players more than the average manager. We sometimes see the flip side of that. And recently more than ever.

I honestly wonder if another manager with the same squad these past 2 seasons could have won more.

Buit we need to have faith in Pep too. In a way we need to give him this opportunity to overcome this challenge because its not very often that he faces it.
"Or winning corners that we never score from"

Absolute rubbish. Only Arsenal with 20 and Everton with 18 had more than our 16 in the premier last season. It's a myth that we don't score from corners.

Is it really? I remember very few. Surely our score per corner must be very low, no?

Has he won anything yet ?

No team are declared champions in the first week of December.

Meanwhile Pep in the last 2 years, 1 CL, 2 PL, 1 FAC, 1 super cup, 1 CWC.
(Sorry, I should have said 2 seasons not years)

Last season we won the PL. This year nothing yet.

I'm only suggesting that there are very decent managers out there that might or might not do better with the squad of players we had/have. Pep is human. Not a Deity.

Regardless we owe Pep the opportunity to continue even if this season turns out to go the wrong direction.

Its not good per corner as we had most corners last season but we scored once from a corner on average every 2.3 games last season. Not so good so far this season as we only have two. Then again we don't have a lot more goals not off corners compared to last year.

Look at his words here, ‘my club’!

I have a feeling this recent contract renewal won’t be his last! Hes one of us. Not only that but he’s built this club up to what it is on the pitch, like Ferguson did to United but in half the duration. And he feels like City is his club.

The Etihad should be renamed the ‘Josep Guardiola Sala Stadium’. After a while it would just be known as the ‘Guardiola’ like the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu is just known as the ‘Bernabéu’.

You think someone else would have won 7 or more trophies in the last two seasons?

No team in English football history has ever won 7 trophies in two seasons.
