Some thick cunts on here... I recently joined a supporters club in yorkshire for cheaper travel and ticket access... This does not make me a glory hunter, always been a blue and always gone to games, fact it is now very difficult to get tickets for aways and I will get a ticket by any means necessary to watch city...
... Went down to the semi final with no ticket, got one outside, managed to get a spare of someone for the final...
What the fuck does it matter how people get tickets, if YOU want to go to a game that badly, you get a ticket by any means neccessary, or travel down without one. I used to be able to get away tickets through the club, this is now not possible most games.

it is possible to get tickets for away games, but to do this you have to earn loyalty points, mine were built up watching city losing to portsmouth at 5.30 on a saturday night, or joining the cup schemes and turning up for the early rounds of the cups. Up until this season over 80% of away games have made open sale in the last decade, and a vast number didnt even
sell out, most people have had the chance to build up points, but couldn't be arsed when we were shit (which ironically was the time when the club only gave 10 loyalty points for trekking all over the country)

Good luck to anyone who gets away tickets, but the notion they are impossible to obtain is a
myth, its just a case of doing the time.

I go to as many as I can afford (including when we were shit pal)... Not saying I used to or now go to every away game, just when I can afford and make it.. So I get tickets however I can, used to use other peoples cards a lot which has left me points down.. So you went to pompy, went to watch us lose away to reading on a Monday night match... What I meant by them being impossible to get is sc holders snap them all up very quickly now, I've done plenty of time you fucking prick.. Don't fucking go there... I don't go to any extra games now than I did when we were shit. Fuck this, your pissing me right off

-- Tue Mar 13, 2012 11:13 am --

Never said it was impossible either, said it was very difficult

so on that basis you get the tickets you deserve, and rightly so, or do you think there should be another system which allows you to jump the queue.

The fact that for an extra 50 quid you get extra loyalty is not really 'doing the time' either, that's just fucking buying points

Haha, meaning? If there is a game I can make it to I go, I'm going to Stoke, Norwich, wolves and Newcastle away.. Do I not deserve these? am I jumping the queue? I will always go and watch city and get tickets however I can

good luck to you, i thought you were moaning you coudn't get tickets because season ticket holders snapped them all up, yet it appears you have tickets for some of the biggest games in city's history, slightly confused but nevermind.

Haha, seems I have not put my point across very well.. I have no problem with sc holders snapping the tickets up, good luck to them too.... My point was I now need to go through a supporters club to get away tickets, which doesn't bother me, don't mind how I get them. Can't fucking wait for these next ten games. Come on CITY!

The Loyalty Point system should NOT! be a sign of how loyal one is to a club, as the poster above points out - he has watched city many times without having any points, like I used to do in my late teens... I was skint and couldn't afford full priced tickets so I'd wait outside the ground and pay lower prices and be swiped in using someone elses SC.

So because some fans are poorer, with less disposable incomes - this makes them less loyal?

No!

in the club's eyes it is, they are just interested in our money - but don't judge fans like myself on how many points we have/haven't got.

Just remember: there are fans? out there with XXXX amount of points who have probably only been to the Etihad once this season (for the Derby) yet all season someone else has been swiped in using their card, and they have the points, the person actually at the game doesn't.

Hopefully this will change with the Ticket Exchange, where people will gain points for games they actually attend.

It's a sad state when people actually buy tickets knowing they won't go to a game because they are point chasing

why would anyone while knowing the system choose not to build their own points while 80% of away games in the last decade have made open sale, and many of these not selling out.
