Surprisingly Good Films

That After Life is a good film.

Dear John was surprisingly good. On one of the rare nights I allowed Mrs P out of the stairs and given control of the remote, she put this on. I huffed and puffed, sighed and moaned but to my surprise I enjoyed it, which really fucked me off.

Yeah, i've never really fancied the X-Men films, but i downloaded First Class and gave it a whirl and ended up really liking it, which was a nice surprise.

I've just watched the clip and defo gona have to watch this, looks really good. I like Matthew Vaughn as he did Layer Cake which was top. Keep an eye out for a film called Fish Tank (if you havent seen it already) Fassbender is in that too and he plays a really good character and it's a gritty british film.

Fassbender is definitely a rising star.

Fassbender played Bobby Sands in Hunger - about the H block hunger strike, i knew then he was destined for great things, the scene with him and the priest (that makes me want to smoke) is one of the longest single takes in any film and is very powerful... he must have lost a lot of weight for that, an awesome performance that is often overlooked by a lot of English people due to its subject matter

As for films i loved that i didnt expect to recently... Girl with the dragon tattoo, Rise of the planet of the apes... i dont usually like remakes, these were excellent though

A late night insomniac watch and it got me so hooked that I fell asleep 20 minutes from the end, you know it's good when you are fighting off sleep at 4am when previously you had been desperate to fall asleep.

Anyways sky+d it next time and wathced it in full and enjoyed it.
