Suspended Seasoncard....

That Facebook site is open to abuse for me. Are the people buying vetted in any way? Could they be rags or touts? Who checks?

I saw someone was selling two tickets in a suite for £1800. Surely no package is on sale for that amount. Another bloke has sold 4 tickets in one of the padded seat blocks for £700 odd quid and validated it by saying that's what the club are charging. He even charged Included the vat!

It started out as a good idea but has got out of control now. Too many members and some on there have fleeced people.

To be honest I am not sure why It hasn't been shut down by the club.
It's actually a criminal offence to facilitate the re-sale of football tickets, so it's breaking the law.

The person who had his card misbehaved?
Strictly speaking he has, because cards are not supposed to be sold on, even at less than face value.

I'd be interested how he did it, because he may well have been caught in a sting, hopefully its the facebook thing, where there is no control over who buys the ticket (or price).

Almost every game I see posts on the Facebook ticket exchange group where people are selling a game on their £299 season ticket for 'face value' of £58. Blatant profiteering and about time a stop was put to it.

Agreed, 4 of us sit together, and if any of us can't go, their ticket is passed on at less then face value (ie cost of season ticket divided by 19).

Except by the club I assume. Don't we have a scheme which allows the club to resell the tickets at over face value?
The law is that only authorised (i.e. by the club) sellers can sell on tickets. The amount they sell them for is not a legal issue. If you're not authorised then, in theory, you are breaking the law, even if you give a ticket away for nothing.

if I was in dallas, I'd be spending my money on guns, pick up trucks and whiskey. not flights to Manchester for the match. Seems this guy doesn't fancy the flight either, **** for trying to make a few quid (pint or 20 or nowt for me in the past either way) idiot for blagging it around Facebook and getting gripped. Fuck him, moron.

It's about time the club clamped down on that page.
I mean it's inevitable another page will quickly appear in its place anyway but if the club actually allowed people to sell their own tx on their own in-house exchange (with a direct receipt of payment rather than a top up of next seasons SC)
This kind of shit wouldn't need to happen.

What pissed me off the most was with the page owner (Daz Clarke) who openly bragged about how many tickets he had for very high loyalty point games, even displaying a picture with all the tx on display... literally rubbing it in the fans who couldn't get tickets faces.

All his cronies came running on here defending that page and we had some words on facebook too, I think he blocked me.
He can go Fuck himself and all his cronies can go Fuck themselves as well.

I always pass my tx onto friends/family, rarely ever sell them... the amount of matches I've attended over the years when I was skint and people gave me free tx.

Profiteering wankers on there and they should all Fuck off.

Chelsea game start of the season some were selling their season card for the game at the price non season holders paid.I believe was £50 odd pound, despite their season tickets being £299 ones.
Blues ripping the pish out of other blues.Shocking.
I challenged them on this and was taken off the Facebook page.
Not that it bothered me.
Bunch of touts that's all they are. They seem to think that that Des Clarke is some sort of hero.

So some dumb fat Yank, who's likely a bandwagon blue, with money to burn, bought a corporate lite season ticket just to guarantee him a ticket when he fancied making the trip, once a bluemoon, and he spends most weeks trying to shift it for individual games to recoup (or make) some money - many of which it'll be obviously left unsold.

And we're supposed to feel sorry for this mug that his corporate lite season ticket, that he rarely, if ever, uses is suspended for a game he wasn't even going to attend on the weekend - but just intended to sell off again, for "face value" though apparently?

Fuck him.

Hope he gets his card taken off him.

It's tossers like that who bought league cup final tickets only to sell them on to third party websites to make a few quid, which were then sold onto dippers who were then sat in our end - leading to continual trouble throughout the game in our block.

They're also responsible for a lot of the routine no shows we have dotted around the ground every week.

No sympathy whatsoever.

The idea that you can even purchase a season ticket while being on the otherside of the globe is utterly absurd to me. I'd wager those that do only attend a fraction of those 19 league games and as such shouldn't even own one.

Good to see the club take some action.

Now what they need to do is lower the price of individual match tickets for next season, as I think the cost of our league tickets leads to some people who ordinarily wouldn't be season ticket holders (can't commit to the majority of home games etc) just buying a season ticket because buying several individual league tickets can often cost as much as a season ticket in some cases - such is the cost of our individual league tickets now, and the 'Cityzens' membership fee.

That clearly isn't the problem for this Yank though, who has enough money to spend on a £1k+ corporate lite season ticket, and rarely goes anyway.

Glad his card has been suspended, doesn't use it anyway. Will at least ensure that seat isn't empty on derby day.

Apparently the geezer from Dallas was due to fly in but due to bad weather its "Knots Landing"

I think the original idea for a face value ticket site was a good one. The snag,as always,is point whores. They have certainly feasted on new blues on there.shame. don't think Daz expected it to bloom so quickly. It's a shame as it could stop us helping each other out.

Where does that leave the ticket and travel exchange forum?
It's probably safe providing the club see it as Blues helping other Blues with a problem and not ripping them off.
If the club do some investigating and find <£16 tickets going for match day prices then they should look at suspending a few more tickets.

So really near enough any seasoncard sold on BM or anywhere at say £50+(rags match) off someones card is also making a profit?
wether its a £299, £500, £700 card.

Lets be honest hardly any city fans divide their card by 19 and then flog them for the big games, even any game. I give my card away when i don't go but if i did sell it would i flog norwich at home for the same as the rags at home?
